This is a question our prescribers hear most weeks, usually from people who have looked at a pen label and started doing the arithmetic. Here is how the numbers work. Each KwikPen is pre-filled with 3 ml of solution. The active ingredient (tirzepatide) is dissolved in that solution at a concentration that varies by strength. At 7.5 mg, the pen contains 30 mg of tirzepatide in 3 ml, meaning each of the four doses delivers 7.5 mg in 0.75 ml of fluid. You will not see a syringe, a vial, or a measurement scale. The pen counts doses automatically; when the fourth click is done, the pen is empty.
