Mounjaro®
Starting from £179.99/mo
Start journey Learn moreYou can only receive Mounjaro through a valid prescription, and every prescription covers a specific quantity determined by a GPhC-registered prescriber after clinical assessment. In practice, most UK private prescriptions cover a single pen — four weekly doses — at a time, though the exact quantity is a clinical decision made for your individual situation, not a fixed shop rule. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine; a prescriber, not the patient, decides how much is appropriate to supply at once. If you're asking because you're worried about running out, or because you're planning ahead for a holiday, those are exactly the kinds of questions to raise with the clinician reviewing your case, that's what they're there for.

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) holds a UK marketing authorisation for weight management in adults, licensed by the MHRA and assessed by NICE in its technology appraisal TA1026, published December 2024. That authorisation governs who can receive the medicine, not how many pens can be issued at once. Quantity per supply is a prescribing decision, governed by clinical judgement and the Human Medicines Regulations 2012.
In UK private weight-loss practice, the norm is one pen per supply, corresponding to four weekly injections at whatever dose you're currently on. That's partly practical: Mounjaro is titrated by the prescriber, typically moving up through the 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and higher strengths over several months, and issuing a large quantity ahead of a planned dose change would mean you end up with pens you shouldn't use yet. Prescribers also review your progress, weight and any side effects before each repeat, which is itself a patient-safety measure, not a commercial one.
So if someone asks whether you can buy more than one Mounjaro pen at a time, the honest answer is: that depends on what your prescriber considers clinically appropriate for your specific situation, and any legitimate service will make that decision through a proper clinical review, not just tick a box.
The questions our prescribers hear most often around this topic usually come from one of three places. People heading abroad for several weeks, people who've had a pen damaged or delayed and want a buffer, and people who've seen services elsewhere claiming to offer bulk supplies as a selling point.
If you're travelling, the right approach is to tell the clinician at your next review. There are legitimate routes for prescribing ahead of a trip, but they involve a proper clinical conversation, not simply adding pens to a basket. You can also check the NHS medicines page for tirzepatide for general storage and travel guidance, and the Patient Information Leaflet that comes with your pen covers the specifics in detail.
If a pen has been damaged or you've missed a dose for any reason, that too is a question for your prescriber or aftercare team. At nume, our team is available seven days a week for exactly this kind of query. Don't try to self-prescribe an extra pen or source one separately, for reasons the next section covers, that carries real risks.
The MHRA has issued repeated public warnings about counterfeit weight-loss pens sold online, including fake tirzepatide pens. An October 2025 enforcement operation (the first of its kind in the UK) resulted in the raid of an illicit manufacturing site in Northampton producing counterfeit tirzepatide pens, and roughly 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines, valued at approximately £45 million, were seized through 2025 operations. You can report suspect sellers directly through the MHRA's Yellow Card scheme.
This matters to the question of ordering multiple pens because the most common route people take when trying to stockpile supply outside a regulated service is to seek out secondary sellers. Those sellers frequently operate without clinical oversight. Red flags include sellers who offer the medicine without a prescription, social-media listings, pricing far below the market range, or any mention of discount codes for prescription medicines. A quick check takes under a minute: every legitimate online pharmacy operating in the UK must appear on the GPhC register, which you can search at pharmacyregulation.org. If a seller isn't there, don't buy from them.
nume is a GPhC-registered pharmacy (registration number 9012878) sourcing Mounjaro through the licensed UK supply chain. Every pen we dispense is the genuine article, verified before it leaves our pharmacy.
The process is straightforward. Start with a free consultation, our prescribers review your answers, your current weight and your medical history the same day. If Mounjaro is clinically appropriate for you, a prescription is issued and you can order Mounjaro with dispatch the next working day via tracked DPD delivery if you place your order before 12pm.
For existing patients, every repeat follows the same pattern: a clinical review before anything is sent. If you're moving up a dose (say, from 5mg to 7.5mg) your prescriber confirms that step is right before the new pen ships. There's no subscription and no auto-renewal; each order is a deliberate, reviewed decision. If you want to understand where you can order Mounjaro online and how to make sure the service you choose is legitimate, our guide walks through every step, and our FAQs cover the most common practical questions.
Eligibility for Mounjaro through a private prescription requires a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above alongside at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or type 2 diabetes. Lower BMI thresholds can apply for some ethnic backgrounds under UK guidance. The prescriber assesses the full clinical picture, BMI alone doesn't automatically confirm suitability. For context on where you can order Mounjaro from, including the difference between NHS access routes and private prescribing, our NHS eligibility guide sets out what each route involves.
