Mounjaro®

Start journey Learn moreYes, you can buy Mounjaro in the UK — but only with a valid prescription issued after a clinical assessment. It is a prescription-only medicine, which means no legitimate pharmacy will supply it without a prescriber reviewing your health first. The legal route is straightforward once you know the steps: a consultation, a clinical assessment, and dispensing through a GPhC-registered pharmacy. At nume (sorry, at Mounjaro through a regulated UK service) that process can happen the same day you apply, with delivery the next working day. Tirzepatide (the medicine inside Mounjaro) is licensed here for weight management in adults who meet the clinical criteria set out in the UK product licence, and a prescriber makes that call based on your individual circumstances.
At your door the next working day.

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) sits in the prescription-only category under UK medicines law. That single fact shapes everything else: no shop, website or social-media seller can legally supply it to you without a valid prescription, and that prescription can only come from an authorised prescriber who has assessed whether it is clinically appropriate for you.
In practice, the route looks like this. You complete a medical consultation, honestly and thoroughly. A prescriber reviews your answers, checks your BMI and any relevant health conditions, and makes a clinical judgement. If Mounjaro is suitable, they issue a prescription. A UK-registered online pharmacy then dispenses the medicine and posts it to you. That is the full sequence. There is no shortcut that keeps you safe.
At nume, every consultation is personally reviewed by a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber on the day you submit it. We also carry out photo-ID checks and live video weight verification before any prescription is signed. Understanding who qualifies before you start saves time and sets realistic expectations.
This is worth pausing on. The MHRA has repeatedly warned about fake weight-loss pens sold online and through social media, some seized counterfeit pens have contained insulin rather than tirzepatide, leading to hospitalisations. In October 2025, enforcement teams raided the first illicit UK manufacturing site producing counterfeit tirzepatide pens, and roughly 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines (worth around £45 million) have been seized through MHRA operations. You can report suspect sellers via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
The reliable check is the GPhC register. Every legitimate online pharmacy operating in the UK must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You can search by name or registration number at pharmacyregulation.org, nume's GPhC premises registration number is 9012878, and you can verify it directly on that link. If a seller is not on the register, do not buy from them. Red flags include: pricing far below what any legitimate pharmacy charges, offers to supply without a consultation, and discount codes pushed through social-media accounts. A prescription medicine is not like a supplement; the clinical assessment is part of the product.
The UK licence for Mounjaro covers adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above alongside at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, raised cholesterol, or obstructive sleep apnoea. Lower thresholds apply for some ethnic backgrounds under UK clinical guidance. A BMI figure alone does not guarantee approval, the prescriber looks at the full picture, including any conditions that would make tirzepatide unsuitable.
Mounjaro is not licensed for use in people under 18, during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or when trying to conceive. If you are currently on treatment elsewhere and want to transfer, or if you are due for a dose increase, you will need to provide evidence of your current treatment before a prescriber can continue your prescription. Our FAQs page covers common eligibility questions in more detail.
NHS access to Mounjaro does exist but is currently limited to specific clinical cohorts under NICE's guidance (TA1026). Whether you qualify for NHS Mounjaro depends on your BMI, the number of weight-related conditions you have, and your GP practice's participation in the prescribing scheme. Private treatment through a regulated pharmacy like nume is available to people who do not yet meet those criteria, or who prefer not to wait.
Once a prescriber confirms clinical suitability and your identity and weight have been verified, the process at nume is designed to be quick and transparent. Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. Your pen arrives with a DPD tracking notification, in a plain box, nothing on the outside signals what is inside. The KwikPen itself is a pre-filled, once-weekly injection device; each pen contains four doses. Storage instructions and the full patient information are included, and our prescribers and aftercare team are available seven days a week if questions come up after you start.
One transparent price covers the consultation, prescription, treatment and delivery. There are no renewal subscriptions or auto-billing, every repeat order is reviewed again by a clinician before dispatch.
