Start journey Learn moreThe cheapest place to purchase Wegovy in the UK is not a single pharmacy or website — private prices vary by dose and provider, and what any headline figure actually covers varies even more. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a prescription-only medicine; no legitimate source can supply it without a clinical assessment by a registered prescriber. Eli Lilly's well-publicised 2025 price changes shifted the market significantly, and Novo Nordisk's supply has tightened at certain doses, so the figure you see quoted today may not reflect what you'd actually pay once consultation fees, prescription charges and delivery are added in. Getting the full picture before you decide is worth a few minutes of your time.

NICE's appraisal of semaglutide for weight management (TA875) and NHS England's own guidance both make clear that Wegovy is a prescription-only medicine requiring ongoing clinical oversight, not a one-time purchase. That regulatory reality shapes private pricing. Since Eli Lilly's list-price revision in September 2025 moved the benchmark for tirzepatide, semaglutide providers adjusted too; typical private Wegovy prices now sit in the range of roughly £149 to £375 per month depending on dose and provider, as widely reported at the time. Those are market figures, hedged because they shift. What they rarely capture is everything else.
A prescriber must assess you before any supply. That clinical step has a cost attached to it somewhere. Some providers bill it separately, a consultation fee on top of the medicine price. Others fold it into a monthly subscription that auto-renews whether your circumstances have changed or not. The full picture of Wegovy pricing in the UK is rarely as clean as a single number on a landing page suggests, and the gap between the advertised figure and what lands on your bank statement is where many people get a surprise.
When you compare prices across providers (without naming any of them) a few omissions appear consistently. Consultation fees are the most common hidden cost; some platforms charge £30 to £50 per review, every time. Prescription fees are sometimes itemised separately. Delivery costs vary: next-day tracked is expensive to run, and some providers pass that on. Dose-review support, the clinical check before each repeat, is not always included. If you need to pause treatment, change your dose, or ask a clinical question between orders, that aftercare may sit behind a paywall or simply not exist.
For a medicine that starts at 0.25mg and titrates through 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg, and up to 2.4mg (with a newer 7.2mg maximum now approved by the MHRA) the cost of getting that escalation right clinically is real. The price at the 1.7mg stage, for example, is often higher than starter-dose pricing, and mid-titration is exactly when ongoing prescriber support matters most. A provider whose headline price looks attractive at 0.25mg may become significantly more expensive once you factor in what subsequent reviews cost.
We don't compete on being the lowest price. That's a deliberate choice, not an oversight. One transparent price at nume covers the consultation, the prescription, the medicine, tracked next-working-day DPD delivery and seven-day aftercare, with no subscription and no auto-renewal. Every repeat order gets a fresh clinical review. You can read more about how we operate and see the clinical team behind the service, including our lead prescriber.
We also run no discount codes. Not because we forgot to set them up, but because a promotional code attached to a prescription medicine is the wrong incentive. The weight-loss treatments we offer are POMs; the right reason to choose a provider is clinical rigour, a verified supply chain, and a prescriber who actually reads your notes, not a five-pound saving. If you see codes promising Wegovy at steep discounts from a seller you can't verify on the GPhC pharmacy register, treat that as a red flag, not a deal. The MHRA has warned repeatedly about counterfeit weight-loss pens sold online, some found to contain insulin rather than semaglutide.
We understand the frustration. NHS waiting lists for specialist weight-management services are long, the cost of private treatment is real, and it's completely reasonable to want to find the most affordable legitimate option. That's exactly why we think transparency about what's included matters more than a low headline number.
Price is the wrong test for a prescription medicine when it's used as the primary filter. The better questions are: Can I verify this pharmacy on the GPhC register? Does a real clinician review my consultation? Is the medicine sourced through the licensed UK supply chain? Is there someone I can contact if something doesn't feel right mid-treatment?
Wegovy supplies in the UK come from Novo Nordisk through authorised channels; a legitimate provider can confirm that. If a price looks implausibly low, or a seller is operating via social media rather than a registered pharmacy, the MHRA advises reporting it via the Yellow Card scheme . The safest way to buy Wegovy in the UK and the cheapest way are not always the same search. If you're specifically trying to work out where to get Wegovy at the lowest legitimate cost, it helps to look beyond headline prices and factor in what each provider actually includes. You can also compare where to buy Wegovy online at the best available price while keeping safety and clinical standards front of mind. You can explore what Wegovy treatment involves in more detail, or look at how semaglutide pricing compares more broadly across the available options. When you're ready to find out whether you're clinically suitable, a free consultation with our prescribers is the next step.
