Start journey Learn moreIn the UK private market, Wegovy 2.4 mg is priced per monthly pen, and what you pay varies considerably between providers — typically falling somewhere in the range of £149 to £375 a month depending on the dose and the service. No single provider can legally supply it without a valid prescription following a clinical assessment: Wegovy (semaglutide) is a prescription-only medicine, and a qualified prescriber must decide whether it is clinically appropriate for you before anything is dispensed. That means the cheapest Wegovy 2.4 mg you find advertised anywhere in the UK should always include more than just the pen.

Eli Lilly raised Mounjaro's UK list price significantly in September 2025, and the broader private GLP-1 market shifted with it. For Wegovy specifically, Novo Nordisk's semaglutide injection, private prices at the 2.4 mg maintenance dose have typically sat in a range of roughly £149 to £375 per month across different providers, as widely reported. These figures are real, but they describe a spread — not a single correct number.
What drives the variation? Partly the dose: you work up to 2.4 mg through a titration schedule starting at 0.25 mg, so your first months will be at lower doses priced differently. Partly the provider: some build consultation fees, prescription charges, and delivery costs into a single figure; others list just the pen and add everything else at the point of checkout. A fuller breakdown of Wegovy pricing at every dose is worth reading before you compare quotes side by side.
The clinical requirement is fixed regardless of price. Under UK law, Wegovy cannot be dispensed without a prescription, and that prescription can only follow a proper clinical assessment. NICE's guidance on semaglutide for weight management (NICE TA875) sets out the clinical criteria that inform prescriber decisions. If you are trying to find the cheapest Wegovy 2.4 mg available in the UK, it is worth knowing that even the lowest quote still has to sit on top of all of that, the question is just whether those costs are visible or buried.
The single-pen price is the figure most often shown in search results and comparison sites. It is also the least complete number you can use to judge a service. Before you commit, it is worth asking four questions: Is the clinical consultation included, or charged separately? Is the prescription fee wrapped in, or an add-on? Does delivery cost extra, and is it tracked? What happens if you have a side-effect question at the weekend?
Aftercare is the cost that providers most reliably omit from their headline figures. A GLP-1 titration schedule runs over months; questions arise between appointments, and dose changes need clinical sign-off. If that support is charged per message or per call, the cheapest 2.4 mg pen can end up sitting inside a significantly more expensive overall experience. Read our guide to Wegovy discount offers to understand why the providers most aggressive on headline price are often quietest about what the fine print removes.
For a sense of how pricing compares at earlier points in the titration (where most patients start their journey) the 0.5 mg dose pricing page and the 1.7 mg dose pricing page cover the same questions for those stages.
We are not the cheapest Wegovy provider in the UK. That is a deliberate choice, not an oversight. Our position is that one transparent price covers the consultation, the prescription, the medicine, next-working-day DPD delivery, and seven-day aftercare, nothing held back, nothing added at checkout. Order by 12 pm on a weekday and, once a prescriber has reviewed and approved your consultation, your treatment goes out the same day. For a lot of people, that matters more than shaving £10 off the pen price.
Every consultation is read by a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber from our clinical team. You can see the kind of oversight our service is built around on the clinical team profile page. Our pharmacy is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council under registration number 9012878, verifiable directly at the GPhC register. There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewals; every repeat is clinically re-reviewed before anything is dispensed.
Current treatment pricing is shown on the treatment page, alongside eligibility information. We do not publish per-pen prices in body copy because a price without a clinical context is only half the picture.
For most purchases, price is a perfectly sensible starting point. For a prescription-only medicine like Wegovy, it is the wrong question to lead with. The right questions are: Is this pharmacy GPhC-registered and verifiable? Is the medicine sourced through the licensed UK supply chain? Is a real prescriber reviewing my case, or is something automated making that call?
The MHRA has issued repeated warnings about fake weight-loss pens sold online and through social media, some counterfeits have contained insulin rather than semaglutide, causing serious harm. The tell-tale signs of an unsafe source are consistent: offers to supply without a prescription, pricing far below the private market, discount codes from sellers you cannot verify. If you are researching where to find the cheapest Wegovy in the UK, the NHS England guidance on weight management injections explains what legitimate supply looks like, and the MHRA's Yellow Card scheme lets you report suspect sellers directly.
A small saving on the pen price is not the measure that keeps you safe. Legitimate clinical oversight, genuine medicine from the licensed supply chain, and a prescriber who actually reads your answers, those are the metrics worth optimising for.
