The SmPC (summary of product characteristics) sets the private licensed threshold at a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above where the person has at least one weight-related comorbidity. Qualifying conditions include type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, obstructive sleep apnoea, and osteoarthritis, among others.
