Step 1, the moment your pen arrives

Your Wegovy delivery travels in temperature-controlled packaging, but that protection ends the moment the box sits on your doorstep. Move the pens into the fridge as soon as you can, ideally within a couple of hours of delivery. Step 2, understanding the room-temperature window

There will be times when a pen comes out of the fridge and does not go straight back. You might be travelling, or you simply forgot to return it. Semaglutide is not instantly ruined the moment it reaches room temperature, but it is not indefinitely stable either. What to do if your pen has been stored incorrectly

If a pen has been frozen (even briefly) do not use it. Freezing can denature the protein structure of semaglutide and the pen may look completely normal while being ineffective or unpredictable. The same applies to pens left in a hot car or on a sunny windowsill for an extended period. The temptation to inject anyway, particularly when the next pen is a week away, is understandable, but the risk is not worth it.
