Mounjaro®

Start journey Learn moreMounjaro's UK private price rose sharply from 1 September 2025, when Eli Lilly increased its list price. The highest-dose pen went from roughly £122 to around £330 per four-week supply — a rise that pushed typical private market prices to somewhere between £149 and £375 per month depending on dose and provider. These are prescription-only medicines that require a clinical assessment before a prescriber can issue them, so the price you see should always include that process.

The increase in Mounjaro's cost traces back to Eli Lilly's decision to raise the UK list price, which took effect in September 2025. Before that date, the higher-dose pen was listed at around £122 for a four-week supply. The new list price for the highest dose sits at roughly £330, a change that was widely reported in August 2025 and has since filtered through to private pharmacy pricing across the country.
The result is that the gap between Mounjaro's different dose pens has widened too. Earlier doses are less affected in absolute terms, but the overall trajectory of the Mounjaro price increase has changed what patients budget for as they move through treatment. If you want to see a detailed breakdown of what current private pricing looks like by dose, the Mounjaro pricing overview covers it straightforwardly.
Worth knowing: Eli Lilly has authorised supplier relationships with licensed UK wholesalers, and any legitimate supply of Mounjaro in this country flows through that chain. A pharmacy sourcing the medicine correctly cannot simply absorb a list price change of this size and keep its own prices unchanged indefinitely.
Once the increase landed, comparison became harder. Quoted prices across the private market vary not only by dose but by what the price actually covers. Some providers list the pen price and add consultation and prescription fees separately. Others include delivery at checkout; others don't. Aftercare (the clinical support that matters when you're adjusting to a new dose or managing side effects) may be bundled or charged per contact.
The detail behind the Mounjaro cost increase shows why a single headline figure can be misleading. A lower sticker price that sits on top of a £40 consultation fee, a £15 prescription charge and a delivery cost may end up higher than a single all-in price. Before you compare providers, it takes under a minute to check whether any online pharmacy is registered on the GPhC pharmacy register, a search by name or registration number that confirms the pharmacy is GPhC-regulated and can legally dispense prescription medicines.
The NHS England guidance on weight-management injections is also a useful, impartial reference for understanding what clinical oversight around these medicines should look like.
When Lilly's list price rose, some providers passed on the full increase immediately. Others absorbed part of it temporarily. At nume, we didn't respond by adding layers of optional extras or by introducing tiered service packages. One transparent price covers the clinical consultation, the prescription reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, the medicine, and free next-working-day DPD delivery in plain, unbranded packaging. There are no hidden fees.
We're also not the cheapest option in the market. That is a deliberate choice. Cheapest isn't a race we entered, because for a prescription-only medicine, the quality and safety of the clinical process matter more than shaving a few pounds off the quoted figure. You can read more about who we are and how our pharmacy operates on the about us page, and our prescribing clinical lead's profile is on the clinical team page.
There are no discount codes, vouchers or promotional offers at nume, for a prescription medicine, that framing belongs to consumer goods, not clinical services. If you see a code being offered for Mounjaro or Wegovy by a seller you cannot verify on the GPhC register, that is a warning sign worth taking seriously. The MHRA has published guidance on reporting suspect sellers via Yellow Card, and counterfeit pen seizures in the UK have escalated sharply since 2023.
Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine. A prescriber who knows your medical history, your current medicines and your weight-management goals makes the clinical decision, not a form, not an algorithm, and not a price comparison. The context around Mounjaro's private price is worth reading alongside the question of where prices may go next, but the more useful question is what you're getting for what you pay.
From a clinical standpoint, the medicines themselves are identical wherever you buy them through a legitimate supply chain, and if you're curious whether buying from another country could save money, our guide to the cheapest country to buy Mounjaro explains what the international pricing picture actually looks like. What differs is the quality of the consultation, the speed of clinical review, the care when things don't go smoothly, and whether you're getting genuine medicine from a verified source. Those things don't show up in a price comparison table.
If you want to explore weight-loss treatment options or understand how Mounjaro sits alongside other licensed treatments, our Mounjaro treatment guide covers the evidence and eligibility picture in full. When you're ready to talk through your own situation, the consultation is free, and one of our prescribers will review it the same day.
