How much is Mounjaro privately in the UK?

Free clinical consultation included — no separate assessment fee to pay upfront
Prescription written and issued by a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber, reviewed the same day
Free next-working-day tracked delivery by DPD, in plain unbranded packaging
Priority aftercare seven days a week, with clinical re-review before every repeat order

Private Mounjaro costs vary by dose and provider, but since Eli Lilly raised its UK list price in September 2025, typical private prices have ranged from roughly £149 to £375 per month depending on which strength you're taking and who you buy from. That range is real — and it matters, because Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only medicine that requires a clinical assessment before any pharmacy can legally dispense it. Price is only one part of the picture when you're figuring out how much Mounjaro actually costs in practice.

What actually goes into the private Mounjaro price, and what sometimes doesn't

Why does private Mounjaro pricing vary so much between providers?

Eli Lilly's UK list price for a Mounjaro pen rose sharply from 1 September 2025. Before that date, the highest-dose pen had a list price of around £122; it now sits at around £330. Private providers set their own retail prices on top of that supply cost, which is why you'll see a wide spread across the market. The lowest doses (2.5mg and 5mg, which most patients start on) are priced lower than the higher therapeutic doses, so what you pay each month will shift as your prescriber titrates your treatment upward.

If you want a detailed breakdown by starting dose, our page on Mounjaro pricing in the UK covers the dose-by-dose picture. For context on the September 2025 list-price change specifically, our explainer on the Mounjaro price increase sets out what happened and why.

One thing worth knowing: the price advertised isn't always the price you pay. Read on.

What do headline Mounjaro prices often leave out?

A quoted monthly price can look competitive until you add what's not in it. Common extras to check for: a separate consultation or assessment fee (sometimes charged each month), a prescription fee on top, a delivery charge, and any cost for clinical support if your dose needs reviewing or you have questions mid-cycle. Some providers also operate on a subscription model that auto-renews, with cancellation terms worth reading carefully.

At the other extreme, prices that look far below the market norm are a different kind of concern. The MHRA has warned publicly about counterfeit weight-loss pens sold online, fake tirzepatide pens have been seized across the UK, and in October 2025 enforcement teams raided the first illicit UK site producing counterfeit Mounjaro pens. You can report a suspect seller directly to the MHRA via the Yellow Card scheme. A price that looks too good to be true often is.

To compare what's typically included (and what isn't) across private Mounjaro providers, our page on Mounjaro private costs in the UK goes into more detail.

What does the price at nume include?

We're not the cheapest option. That's a deliberate choice. One price covers everything: the consultation, the prescription, the medicine, and free next-working-day delivery by DPD. There are no subscription commitments and no automatic renewals, every repeat order gets a fresh clinical review. Our prescribers (see our clinical team) personally read every consultation the same day; a real clinician reviews it, not software.

Order before 12pm Monday to Friday and, once your prescriber approves your treatment, your pen is dispatched the same day. It arrives the next working day in plain packaging, tracked, the kind of thing that fits around a normal schedule rather than requiring you to wait in for an unmarked courier. You can verify our pharmacy on the GPhC register at registration number 9012878. Every pen comes from the licensed UK supply chain through our authorised relationship with Eli Lilly.

Current treatment pricing is shown on the weight-loss treatments page, we don't print per-pen prices in editorial copy, because your actual monthly cost depends on which dose your prescriber determines is right for you.

Is 'cheapest' even the right question for a prescription medicine?

For most purchases, yes, price is a reasonable filter. For a prescription-only medicine that requires a verified supply chain and ongoing clinical oversight, the cheapest listing answers the wrong question. What matters is whether the pharmacy is GPhC-registered, whether a real prescriber (not an algorithm) assessed your suitability, and whether the medicine itself came through the licensed UK supply chain rather than an unregulated source.

NICE's appraisal of tirzepatide, TA1026, and the NHS's own weight-management guidance both frame these medicines as treatments for a serious health condition, not lifestyle products. The clinical assessment exists to protect you: to check for contraindications, confirm your BMI and any relevant conditions, and set a safe starting dose. A small saving per pen is not the measure that keeps that process intact.
