Start journey Learn moreWegovy is a once-weekly subcutaneous injection, not a monthly one. Each pre-filled pen contains four doses, so a single pen covers four weeks of treatment. If you're trying to work out the ongoing cost, that one pen equals roughly one month of Wegovy — and understanding that distinction matters before you compare any prices you've seen online. As a prescription-only medicine, Wegovy requires a clinical assessment before any supply can be made; no online pharmacy can lawfully send it to you without one.

The question comes up constantly, and it makes sense, Wegovy's pricing is quoted in different ways by different providers, which makes comparing costs harder than it should be. The injection itself is taken once a week. Each KwikPen holds four doses, so when you see a price per pen, that is the cost for approximately one month of treatment. Some providers quote a monthly figure; others quote per pen. They should be the same number. If they're not, read the small print carefully.
Dose matters too. Wegovy is titrated gradually: the starting dose is lower, and most people reach a higher maintenance dose over several months. Pens at different strengths carry different list prices, so your monthly outlay will change as your dose increases. The full titration schedule is a clinical decision made with your prescriber; you can get a plain-English overview on the Wegovy treatment page, and if you want to think through what the costs look like over time, our Wegovy monthly cost guide breaks it down clearly.
One checking habit worth building: before you compare two providers on price, confirm whether the quoted figure is for the starting dose or the maintenance dose. A low headline price sometimes reflects the cheapest, lowest-dose pen, not the one you'll be using after the first month or two.
A figure you see on a search results page is often the price of the medicine alone. That number can look reassuring until you find out what sits alongside it. Some services charge a separate consultation fee. Others add a prescription charge on top. Delivery (particularly tracked, temperature-controlled delivery for a refrigerated injectable) sometimes carries an extra fee. Ongoing clinical support, the kind that answers a question on a Sunday evening when you're unsure about a missed dose, isn't always included.
None of that means any given provider is doing something wrong. But it does mean that comparing a headline price is not the same as comparing the total cost of treatment. For a fuller picture of what drives the variation in Wegovy costs across UK providers, the Wegovy price page covers the market context in detail. The same applies to oral semaglutide if tablets are on your radar, the semaglutide monthly cost guide covers both formats side by side.
Eli Lilly's list price increase for Mounjaro in September 2025 reminded a lot of people how much the underlying medicine cost can shift, and Wegovy's pricing is not immune to similar movements. What you pay today may not be what you pay in six months. Worth factoring that in when you're thinking about sustainability.
At nume, one price covers everything: consultation, prescription, the medicine, and next-working-day DPD delivery. No subscription, no auto-renewal. A real prescriber (registered with the GPhC as an Independent Prescriber) reads your consultation before anything is dispensed. Not software. Before every repeat order, there is a fresh clinical review. That's the structure, and it doesn't change depending on how much you spend.
We are not the cheapest option on the market. That's a deliberate choice, not an oversight. The price reflects actual clinical infrastructure: identity and weight verification, GP notification in line with GPhC guidance, and aftercare seven days a week from people who know your case. You can read more about who we are and our clinical team if you'd like to understand the people behind the reviews. Treatment pricing is shown clearly on the treatments page, we don't hide it.
If you're exploring whether you might spread the cost differently, the Wegovy pay-monthly page addresses that question directly.
Wegovy is a prescription-only medicine. The MHRA has confirmed that genuine GLP-1 medicines cannot legally be supplied without a valid prescription following clinical assessment, and the agency has issued repeated public warnings about counterfeit weight-loss pens circulating online, including fake products seized in large enforcement operations across 2024 and 2025. Some of those fakes have contained insulin rather than semaglutide, with serious consequences for the people who used them.
Price is not a reliable guide to legitimacy. A low price, combined with a seller you can't verify, is a risk profile that a small saving doesn't justify. Any pharmacy supplying Wegovy legally in the UK will appear on the GPhC pharmacy register; checking takes under a minute. Our GPhC premises registration number is 9012878, you can confirm it directly on that register.
If results are your measure rather than cost, the weekly weight loss on Wegovy page summarises what the clinical trial evidence shows, and monthly progress expectations covers how those numbers translate over a longer course. The weight-loss overview is a good starting point if you're still deciding which treatment is right for you. When you're ready to take the first step, a free consultation is the right one.
