Start journey Learn moreMounjaro 10mg is a prescription-only medicine in the UK, which means you cannot simply add it to a basket and check out. The only lawful route is a clinical assessment by a registered prescriber, who decides whether this dose is appropriate for you. That process can happen online (through a GPhC-registered pharmacy) quickly and safely, without a GP referral or a waiting list. Once approved, treatment is dispatched the same day and arrives free the next working day. The misconception worth correcting first is that buying Mounjaro 10mg online is as straightforward as ordering a supplement. It isn't, and that distinction protects you.

It doesn't, and it can't lawfully do so. Mounjaro is classified as a Prescription-Only Medicine under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, which means a prescriber must assess you before any supply. Sellers advertising it online without that step are operating outside UK law, and the risks go beyond legality. The MHRA has seized counterfeit tirzepatide pens from an illicit manufacturing site (Northampton, October 2025) and, across 2025, intercepted roughly 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines worth around £45 million. Some fake pens seized in earlier operations contained insulin rather than the stated active ingredient. If you see Mounjaro 10mg offered with no clinical assessment involved, that is a red flag, not a bargain. Report suspect sellers at the MHRA's Yellow Card portal.
A quick check anyone can do in under a minute: visit the GPhC pharmacy register and search by the pharmacy's name or registration number. Every legitimate online pharmacy in England, Scotland and Wales appears there. If it doesn't, walk away.
Mounjaro is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, licensed in the UK for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above alongside a weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol. It begins at 2.5mg (a tolerability dose designed to settle the system before any therapeutic work begins) and increases through a prescriber-guided schedule, typically in four-week steps. You can read more about the starting point in our guide to getting started with 2.5mg.
By the time someone reaches 10mg, they are mid-programme, usually having moved through 2.5mg, then the 5mg dose, which you can order online once your prescriber confirms you are ready for it, and 7.5mg. Each step requires a clinical review of how the previous dose was tolerated and what progress has been made. Jumping to 10mg on a first prescription is not something a responsible prescriber does. If you are transferring from another provider and already on 10mg, evidence of your current dose is part of our transfer review. The full Mounjaro overview covers the licensed strengths in detail.
Starting a consultation on our treatment page takes a few minutes. You answer clinical questions about your health history, current medications and weight. A named GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber reads your answers (every one, personally) and reaches a clinical decision the same day. There is no algorithm making that call.
Identity and weight are verified: photo ID is checked, and live weight verification happens on video. This is not bureaucracy for its own sake; it is what responsible prescribing looks like, and it is what protects you when a medicine this potent is involved. If you are approved and order before 12pm on a working day, your prescription is issued and your treatment dispatched the same day by DPD. It lands the next working day, free, in plain packaging.
Aftercare runs seven days a week. If you have questions between doses, or when a dose increase is due, our team is there. Every repeat order gets a fresh clinical review before dispatch, no auto-refills, no rubber-stamping. For a broader look at what the service covers, our FAQs page is a good next stop.
The licensed criteria for Mounjaro are straightforward on paper: adults, BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above with at least one weight-related comorbidity. Lower BMI thresholds apply for some ethnic backgrounds under UK clinical guidance. But the number on the BMI calculator is never the whole picture. The prescriber also considers your medication list, your medical history, any contraindications (certain thyroid conditions and a history of pancreatitis, for example) and whether 10mg is the appropriate dose given where you are in treatment.
Mounjaro is a Black Triangle (▼) medicine, meaning it carries additional MHRA monitoring as post-market safety data continues to accumulate. The NICE technology appraisal TA1026, published December 2024, sets out NHS eligibility criteria, which are stricter than the licensed criteria and phased by BMI and comorbidity count. Private treatment through a regulated pharmacy is available to people who meet the licensed criteria but fall outside the current NHS thresholds, or who prefer not to wait. Our weight-loss treatment overview explains both routes, and if you would like to buy Mounjaro online through a regulated pharmacy, our service page walks you through exactly how that works. If your clinical picture suggests 15mg may be the goal further down the line, the 15mg page covers what that stage involves, and patients who are approaching that point often find it helpful to first review the 7.5mg step, which you can order online once your prescriber confirms the increase is appropriate.
