Start journey Learn moreIf you're trying to source Mounjaro 12.5mg in stock through a legitimate UK route, the short answer is this: it's a prescription-only medicine, which means the only legal path to it is a clinical consultation followed by a prescription from a registered prescriber. No pharmacy (online or on the high street) can legally supply it any other way. At nume, a real prescriber reviews your consultation the same day and, if you're clinically suitable, your pen is dispatched before the end of the working day.
At your door the next working day.

How it works
Tell us about your health, history and goals. Free, online, and confidential — no commitment, no waiting room.
Our team reviews your health the same day — never an algorithm, and approves your treatment there and then if eligible.
Order by 12pm, dispatched same day, delivered free the next working day — the nume Promise.
Mounjaro is titrated gradually, treatment begins at 2.5mg to let your body adjust, and doses are stepped up by the prescriber every four weeks or so as tolerated. By the time most people reach 12.5mg, they've been on treatment for several months and have evidence of progress at lower doses. That context matters when you're looking to source this dose: a legitimate pharmacy won't just hand it over. A prescriber reviewing your case for Mounjaro online will want to see your current dose, how you've responded, and confirmation that stepping up is clinically appropriate.
That's not bureaucracy for its own sake. It's the reason counterfeit pens cause harm, they bypass the clinical assessment entirely. The MHRA has warned repeatedly about fake weight-loss pens sold without a prescription via social media and unverified websites, including the seizure of around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines worth roughly £45m in 2025 alone. Some contained insulin. You can report a suspect seller directly through the MHRA's Yellow Card scheme.
If you're transferring from another provider and already taking 12.5mg, the process at a regulated pharmacy is to provide evidence of your current treatment. At nume, transfer patients go through the same same-day clinical review; your prescriber checks the evidence before any supply is confirmed.
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a Prescription-Only Medicine under UK law. The route to it is straightforward, but there are no shortcuts. First, you need a clinical consultation, a structured set of questions covering your health history, current medications, BMI, and any relevant conditions. Then a prescriber reviews that consultation and either approves a prescription, asks for more information, or declines. The prescription is then dispensed by a GPhC-registered pharmacy.
Before trusting any online pharmacy with a prescription medicine, it takes about thirty seconds to check them on the GPhC's pharmacy register, nume's premises registration number is 9012878 and you can verify it directly. A pharmacy not on that register has no business dispensing any POM, including Mounjaro.
At nume, the process runs like this: you complete a free consultation online; a named prescriber (not an algorithm) reviews it the same day; identity and weight are verified (photo ID and live video weight check); and, once approved, your pen is dispatched the same working day if you ordered before noon. The whole thing is described plainly on our about page if you want the detail before you start.
The licensed eligibility for Mounjaro covers adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 and above with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes. Lower BMI thresholds apply for some ethnic backgrounds under UK guidance. NICE's appraisal of tirzepatide (TA1026, published December 2024) sets out the NHS criteria, which are stricter; private eligibility follows the licensed indications.
For 12.5mg specifically, eligibility also depends on where you are in your treatment journey. If you've been on Mounjaro and are due to step up from 10mg, your prescriber will assess your progress and tolerance. If this is a first prescription, treatment starts at 2.5mg, the starter dose's job is to let your body adjust before any therapeutic titration begins. You can read more about the 10mg step that precedes this dose if you're trying to plan ahead.
Stock availability at any dose varies. Rather than searching pharmacy to pharmacy, if you want to check whether Mounjaro 12.5mg is in stock at a regulated pharmacy, you can do so alongside the clinical review at nume, where supply is confirmed as part of the consultation process, not separately.
The search results for Mounjaro 12.5mg include sellers that are not GPhC-registered, do not require a prescription, and are not operating in the licensed UK supply chain. The risk isn't just regulatory, the MHRA's Drug Safety Update records the real-world harm from counterfeit pens, including hospitalisation. Prices far below the market rate, sellers on social media, and the promise of supply without any clinical questions are each, individually, a reason to walk away.
Discount codes for prescription medicines are worth a mention here too. nume does not run them. A code offering Mounjaro at a steep discount from an unverified seller is a red flag, not a deal. For a prescription medicine, the right question isn't who charges least, it's who can demonstrate a licensed supply chain, a verifiable GPhC registration, and a prescriber who actually reads your case.
If you've been on 12.5mg and are thinking ahead to the final maintenance dose, our page on buying Mounjaro from a chemist covers what to expect from any legitimate dispensing route. If you're ready to buy Mounjaro 12.5mg through a regulated pharmacy, our overview walks you through exactly what the process involves before you start a consultation. When you're ready, you can also see whether Mounjaro is currently in stock before beginning, then the next step is a free consultation, your pen lives in the fridge door, and getting there starts here.
