Start journey Learn moreWhen comparing Mounjaro 2.5mg prices across UK private providers, the first thing worth knowing is that the 2.5mg pen is a tolerability starter dose, not the dose most people settle on long-term — so the pen you're pricing now is unlikely to be the pen you're buying in three months. UK private prices for Mounjaro vary broadly by dose and provider, typically ranging from around £149 to over £375 per four-week pen at the highest strengths following Eli Lilly's list-price increase in September 2025, as widely reported. The 2.5mg entry point sits at the lower end of that range across providers, but comparing on starter-dose price alone tells you almost nothing useful about the actual cost of a supported course of treatment. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine; a GPhC-registered prescriber must assess whether it is clinically suitable for you before any treatment can begin.

This is the most common misreading in any Mounjaro price comparison, and it matters because it shapes every decision that follows. The 2.5mg dose exists specifically to let your body adjust, to reduce the nausea and digestive discomfort that can catch people off guard in the first few weeks. It is not a therapeutic dose in the weight-management sense; clinical trials and prescribing practice both treat it as a settling-in phase before titration begins. That means a provider advertising a low 2.5mg price is, in effect, showing you their most favourable number without showing you the trajectory.
A more useful comparison asks what the provider charges at 5mg, 7.5mg and beyond, and what clinical support accompanies each dose increase. Eli Lilly's UK list price rose sharply from 1 September 2025, with the highest-dose pen moving from around £122 to around £330, as widely reported at the time. The shape of private pricing followed. If you want the full picture across the dose ladder, our Mounjaro price comparison across all doses covers that in detail.
The short version: a low 2.5mg figure is not a signal that the rest of the course will be affordable. Treat it as one data point, not the deciding one.
Headline prices (the ones that appear in search results and on landing pages) frequently exclude some or all of the following: a separate consultation fee, a prescription charge, a delivery fee per order, and any meaningful aftercare between orders. These are not trivial additions. A quoted price that excludes delivery and a consultation charge can look £30 to £50 lower than one that wraps everything in, until you total the actual cost of a month's supply.
There is also a less-visible exclusion: clinical resource. Dose increases on Mounjaro should follow a prescriber's review of how you've been getting on, not just a request form. Some services provide this; others treat each repeat as a retail transaction. That difference rarely appears in a price comparison table, but it affects both your safety and whether you get the right support through titration. For a practical view of what a transparent all-in price should include, see our Mounjaro pricing overview.
Worth checking (before you pick a provider based on the 2.5mg number alone) whether their published price already accounts for all of this, or whether it doesn't.
At nume, one price covers everything: the consultation, the prescription, the treatment, delivery, and aftercare. No consultation fee layered on top. No separate prescription charge. DPD tracked delivery, free, to your door the next working day when ordered by 12pm and approved by our prescriber the same day. The pen goes straight into the fridge door, and a real clinician has already reviewed your notes before it left our GPhC-registered pharmacy.
We are not the cheapest option in a UK price comparison, and we have not tried to be. The decision not to compete on price is deliberate: offering consultation, clinical oversight and aftercare properly costs something, and cutting those costs would mean cutting those things. Our prescribers personally review every consultation the same day, nobody is processed by an algorithm. Every repeat order gets a clinical re-review. There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewals. You can explore what that looks like for your situation on our free consultation page, or read more about how Mounjaro works as a treatment before you decide. If you are moving up the dose ladder and want to understand what to expect at the next two steps, our Mounjaro 7.5mg price comparison and Mounjaro 12.5mg price comparison apply the same analysis to those doses. If you are looking at 5mg pricing for your next pen, the Mounjaro 5mg price comparison applies the same analysis to that step.
Mounjaro is a Prescription-Only Medicine. That designation exists for a reason: it requires clinical assessment because it carries real clinical considerations, contraindications, interactions, a titration schedule, and side effects that most people need support navigating. The MHRA has warned publicly about counterfeit weight-loss pens sold online, including fake tirzepatide pens seized in a raid on an unlicensed UK manufacturing site in October 2025. Counterfeit pens have contained entirely different substances. A price that looks attractive from an unverified seller is a warning sign, not a saving. You can report any suspected seller directly through the MHRA's Yellow Card scheme.
The question a Mounjaro price comparison should start with is not which provider lists the lowest 2.5mg figure, but which provider can show you that they are operating within a licensed, clinically supervised UK supply chain. Any legitimate provider can be verified on the GPhC register. For context on safe access more broadly, our guide to finding affordable Mounjaro safely in the UK walks through the questions worth asking. The right measure for a prescription treatment is whether the supply is genuine, the prescribing is thorough, and the support is real. A small gap in the 2.5mg price is not the measure that protects you.
