Mounjaro®

Start journey Learn moreIn the UK, Mounjaro 5mg is a prescription-only medicine available through private clinics and regulated online pharmacies. There is no fixed price — what you pay varies by provider, what's included, and how costs are presented. Private Mounjaro pricing has shifted significantly since Eli Lilly raised its UK list price from 1 September 2025, with typical private prices across providers now reported in the range of roughly £149–£375 per month depending on dose and service. The 5mg pen sits within that range. Mounjaro requires a clinical assessment before any prescription can be issued — no reputable provider can skip that step, and under UK law, none should.

Mounjaro's licensed weight-management schedule starts at 2.5mg (a dose whose job is to help your system adjust, not to drive weight loss) and typically steps up to 5mg after four weeks. NICE's appraisal of tirzepatide (TA1026, published December 2024) assessed the full trial programme, including SURMOUNT-1, in which thousands of adults using tirzepatide reached an average body-weight reduction of around 20–21% over 72 weeks at the highest doses. Those headline figures are built on a titration pathway that passes through 5mg; they don't come from staying there.
Understanding that context matters when you're comparing prices. A 5mg pen is one step in a clinical journey, not a standalone product. The dose you're on, how long you've been on it, and whether your prescriber is actually reviewing your progress all shape whether treatment is working. For a fuller breakdown of how Mounjaro's pricing shifts across doses, our Mounjaro pricing guide sets out what to expect at each stage.
Mounjaro is a Black Triangle (▼) medicine, meaning it carries additional MHRA monitoring requirements. That isn't a reason for alarm (it's standard practice for newer medicines) but it does mean any provider dispensing it should be working within a proper regulatory framework. You can read the NHS's overview of tirzepatide on the NHS medicines page for tirzepatide.
Search for Mounjaro 5mg online and you'll see a range of figures. Some are pen prices. Some include a consultation fee separately. Some charge for delivery, for prescription reissue, for dose-review calls, or for the aftercare that a responsible prescriber should be providing anyway. A low headline number that requires you to buy add-ons to actually receive treatment isn't a low price, it's a split price.
At nume, one price covers the consultation, the prescription, the treatment, and free next-working-day delivery. There's no subscription, and your repeat order goes through a fresh clinical review each time. We're not going to claim we're the cheapest option online. We entered this deliberately from the other direction: building a service where nothing is hidden and the clinical infrastructure is solid, then pricing it to sustain that. If that makes us more expensive than some listings, so be it.
When you're comparing providers for a prescription medicine, the question of where to buy Mounjaro is really a question about what you're buying alongside the pen. That framing tends to change the comparison.
The MHRA has been unambiguous on this point. Fake weight-loss pens (some containing insulin rather than tirzepatide) have been seized from online sellers in large quantities, including the first illicit UK site producing counterfeit tirzepatide pens, raided in Northampton in October 2025. The common thread is sellers offering prescription medicines without a proper clinical assessment, often at prices that undercut the legitimate market.
The safest check you can run on any online pharmacy is the GPhC register. Every registered pharmacy in England has a premises number you can verify at pharmacyregulation.org, ours is 9012878. If a seller can't point you to a GPhC registration, that's a meaningful red flag. The MHRA recommends reporting suspect sellers through its Yellow Card scheme, which handles both adverse reactions and safety concerns about medicines supply.
Discount codes for prescription medicines from unverified sources are another warning sign worth taking seriously. It's not how legitimate pharmacy pricing works. If you're seeing a promotional code attached to a listing for Mounjaro or any GLP-1 medicine bought online in the UK, treat that as a reason for caution rather than a reason to click.
If you're already on Mounjaro and titrating to 5mg, or transferring from another provider at this dose, the process at nume begins with a free consultation. A GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber reads your answers the same day, not a chatbot, not an automated triage tool. Transfer patients provide evidence of their current treatment; dose increases are reviewed against clinical criteria before approval.
Once your prescription is approved, orders placed before noon on a working day are dispatched the same day. Your pen arrives via DPD the following working day, in a plain box with no branding visible from the outside, discreet by design. Inside is your Mounjaro KwikPen, which patients moving toward the 7.5mg dose will also find covered in our dedicated guide, cold-packed for the journey, with the Patient Information Leaflet. That leaflet is the definitive guide to storage, injection technique and what to do if you miss a dose; your prescriber's instructions take precedence over anything you read elsewhere.
For a broader look at what treatment involves before deciding on a dose, our Mounjaro overview covers the full picture, and our weight-loss treatment page sets out the options side by side. Questions about the process specifically are answered on our FAQs page, including details relevant to those considering the 15mg dose and what buying it online in the UK involves. When you're ready, starting your free consultation takes a few minutes.
