Men tend to find out about Mounjaro through routes that aren't always accurate: a gym conversation, a wellness influencer, a headline claiming it's a "wonder jab." The reality is more considered than that. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a once-weekly injection made by Eli Lilly, and its mechanism centres on activating two receptors (GIP and GLP-1) that are involved in appetite regulation and blood-sugar control. It slows the rate at which the stomach empties, which means food stays with you longer and hunger signals arrive later. Side effects men should know about before starting

The most common side effects of Mounjaro are gastrointestinal, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, indigestion and burping feature most often. There are rarer but more serious effects that require prompt medical attention. Signs of a serious allergic reaction, gallbladder symptoms, and significant dehydration following severe vomiting or diarrhoea also warrant medical advice without delay.
