Start journey Learn moreMounjaro's share price refers to the stock performance of its maker, Eli Lilly, on the New York Stock Exchange. For UK patients, the more pressing question is what a private Mounjaro prescription costs each month — and the honest answer is that legitimate private pricing has risen sharply since Eli Lilly raised its UK list price from around £122 to around £330 per four-week pen on 1 September 2025, with typical private provider prices now reported in a range of roughly £149–£375 per month depending on dose. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine; a registered prescriber must assess your suitability before any supply is lawful.

When NICE recommended tirzepatide for NHS use in December 2024, Eli Lilly's share price moved, investors noticed that a medicine producing average weight reductions of around 20–21% over 72 weeks in SURMOUNT-1, and outperforming semaglutide head-to-head in the SURMOUNT-5 trial published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2025, had secured a major European market. The follow-on was a UK list-price revision on 1 September 2025. Private pharmacies source through the licensed UK supply chain, so that revision fed directly into what patients see on checkout pages. The full dose range (2.5mg through to 15mg, titrated by a prescriber in staged steps) now sits in a wider price band than it did before autumn 2025. If you are weighing up where to start, our Mounjaro 5mg price page sets out what the mid-range step costs once the September 2025 revision is factored in. Prices reported across the private market run from roughly £149 at starter doses to around £375 at higher doses, though the figure varies between providers. What matters for patients is that any legitimate price must include a clinical assessment; a pen sold without one is not a bargain, it is unlawful supply.
A price listed on a clinic or pharmacy website is rarely the full number. Consultation fees, prescription charges, and delivery costs are frequently itemised separately, meaning the advertised figure can be two or three steps away from what you actually pay. Some providers also charge for dose-review check-ins or charge extra if you need to discuss a side effect. At nume, the structure is deliberately different: one price covers the consultation, the prescription, the treatment and next-working-day delivery, nothing is added at the end. Our prescribers at our clinical team review every consultation personally. That said, we are not the cheapest option in the market. That is a conscious choice. A lower headline number achieved by cutting clinical review time, outsourcing prescribing decisions, or sourcing outside the licensed UK supply chain is not a saving worth taking.
The MHRA has warned repeatedly about counterfeit weight-loss pens sold online, often at prices designed to look competitive. In October 2025 the first illicit UK manufacturing site producing fake tirzepatide pens was raided in Northampton; earlier enforcement actions in 2025 seized approximately 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines with an estimated street value of around £45m. Fake pens have been found to contain insulin rather than tirzepatide, a medically serious substitution. The MHRA's Yellow Card scheme allows patients to report suspected counterfeit sellers. For a prescription medicine, the right question when comparing providers is not who charges the least, but who has the clinical infrastructure to get this right. You can learn more about how the cost picture breaks down across doses on our Mounjaro pricing overview, and if you want detail specific to one dose, the per-pen price guide covers the full range, including how much liquid each Mounjaro pen contains and what that means for your dose. The broader context of the September 2025 list-price revision is explained on our Mounjaro price increase page. Eligibility, supply chain, and the clinical process are covered in full on our Mounjaro treatment overview.
