Start journey Learn moreThe price of Wegovy 1.7mg in the UK private market typically sits within the broader range reported for semaglutide weight-management treatment, which varies by provider and by where the 1.7mg dose falls in a patient's titration schedule. Because 1.7mg is a step dose on the way to the 2.4mg maintenance level, not all providers list it separately, and what any headline figure actually includes can differ considerably. Wegovy is a prescription-only medicine — a prescriber must assess your suitability before any supply, and the cost of that clinical assessment, prescription and aftercare isn't always reflected in the number you see advertised first.

Wegovy's titration pathway, as set out in its licensed summary of product characteristics and described by the NHS, moves from 0.25mg through 0.5mg, 1.0mg and 1.7mg before reaching the 2.4mg maintenance dose, with roughly four weeks at each level. The 1.7mg pen is therefore a penultimate rung, most patients spend a single month at this strength before their prescriber confirms whether to move up. That context matters for pricing, because providers structure their charges differently: some bill per pen at whatever dose you're currently on, others charge a flat monthly fee across the titration, and others price only the maintenance pen. If you're searching for the 1.7mg Wegovy price specifically, the figure you find may not be what you're charged when your supply arrives. NICE's appraisal of semaglutide for weight management (NICE TA875) set out the clinical framework within which the drug was approved; the price of private supply sits entirely outside that framework and is set by individual providers.
The broader private market for semaglutide treatment has seen prices shift considerably since Eli Lilly's decision to raise the list price of tirzepatide (Mounjaro) from September 2025, which in turn affected how other providers positioned their semaglutide pricing. As widely reported at the time, the highest tirzepatide dose's list price moved from around £122 to around £330 per four-week pen, and typical private semaglutide prices since then have ranged roughly £149 to £375 a month across doses and providers, including what people pay at the 1mg stage of the titration. Treat any precise figure you find online as a snapshot, not a guarantee.
A £X-per-pen number rarely tells you the full story. The most common omissions are the initial consultation fee, the cost of the prescription itself, delivery charges, and any dose-review or aftercare support. Some services charge each of these separately, meaning the price shown for the medicine may be only part of what reaches your card. If a titration step changes and you need a different pen next month, does the quoted price hold? Is there a separate fee if you have questions between orders? These aren't edge cases; they're the questions worth asking before you commit.
You can compare how different providers structure their charges on our Wegovy cost overview. For a detailed look at how the 1.7mg step specifically is handled, our guide to how much Wegovy 1.7mg costs walks through the variables in plain terms. If you want to see what the genuinely lowest-listed prices look like across the market (and what they're missing) our cheapest Wegovy 1.7mg price page covers that ground honestly.
At nume, there is one price per dose. It covers the consultation, the prescription, the medicine, and free next-working-day delivery. Our weight-loss treatment page shows current pricing; we don't publish per-pen figures in body copy because prices at every dose can move, and we'd rather you see the real number at checkout than a stale one here. What doesn't move is the structure: no consultation surcharge, no delivery fee, no aftercare subscription sitting unpaid in the background. We're deliberately not the cheapest option, and that's a choice, not an oversight. The budget goes into prescriber time, supply chain integrity and the kind of aftercare that means someone actually answers when you have a question on a Sunday.
Every order is personally reviewed by a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber before dispatch. You can meet our clinical team on the clinical team page, and read more about how we work on the about us page. Our FAQs cover the most common questions about the process. If something's changed in your health since your last order, our prescribers want to know, that review happens before every repeat, not just the first one.
Wegovy is a prescription-only medicine. The MHRA has warned publicly about counterfeit semaglutide and other GLP-1 pens sold online and through social media, fake pens have been found to contain the wrong substances entirely. The safest check is the GPhC register: any legitimate online pharmacy supplying prescription medicines to UK patients must be registered, and you can verify registration at pharmacyregulation.org. If a price looks unusually low, or a site offers to supply the pen without a clinical assessment, those are the signals the MHRA asks patients to treat as red flags. The Yellow Card scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk allows you to report both suspected side effects and suspect sellers.
For a broader picture of what Wegovy involves (how it works, who it's licensed for, and what the clinical evidence shows) the Wegovy treatment overview is the right starting point. When you're ready to check whether you're eligible, the weight-loss treatment page explains the process from the beginning.
