Start journey Learn moreIf you've searched for Wegovy codes, you're probably looking for one of several different things: a discount or promo code to cut the price, a drug classification code used in healthcare records, or a CPT billing code from US insurance paperwork. In the UK, the picture is quite different from what many searches return — and understanding why matters if you want safe, legal access to this medicine. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a prescription-only medicine (POM) in the UK, which means a prescriber must assess your suitability before it can be dispensed; no code changes that requirement.

NICE recommended semaglutide (Wegovy) for weight management in its 2023 appraisal, and the NHS England guidance that followed confirmed it as a clinically significant medicine, not a lifestyle product. That distinction shapes how it can legally be sold. Under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, advertising a prescription-only medicine to the public is prohibited, and that prohibition extends to price incentives tied to the medicine itself. A pharmacy offering a "discount code" for Wegovy is, at best, cutting corners on the service side; at worst, it is a warning sign about the legitimacy of the supply.
The MHRA has consistently flagged social-media sellers and unverified online sources offering steep discounts on GLP-1 weight-loss medicines. Enforcement action in 2025 resulted in roughly 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines (approximately £45 million street value) being seized, and the first UK site manufacturing counterfeit tirzepatide pens was raided. Fake pens have contained insulin in place of the labelled medicine. You can report a suspect seller via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme if you come across one. If you have been searching for a Wegovy promo code, it is worth knowing that a price that seems implausibly low, or a code promising a percentage off a POM, is worth treating with caution.
At nume, we don't run discount codes or promotional offers. The price you see covers everything: consultation, prescription, treatment and free next-working-day tracked delivery.
Even where a code is technically legitimate (attached to a real, GPhC-registered pharmacy) the saving is almost always narrower than it appears. Many providers quote a headline medicine price and charge separately for the initial consultation, the prescription itself and each delivery. A 10% code on a medicine-only price can still leave you paying more overall than an all-in service with no code at all.
The cost of Wegovy treatment in the UK varies by dose and provider, and understanding what any given price actually includes is the more useful question than finding a code. Since Eli Lilly raised Mounjaro's UK list price in September 2025, the private GLP-1 market has adjusted across the board; reported private prices for semaglutide reflect clinic fees, prescriber time and supply-chain costs that a one-off code cannot realistically absorb. A straightforward, itemised price from a registered pharmacy is a cleaner way to compare.
One thing you can do in under a minute: look up any online pharmacy on the GPhC pharmacy register before you buy. Enter the name or registration number; if the pharmacy does not appear, don't proceed. It costs nothing and takes about thirty seconds.
A lot of searches for "Wegovy codes" come from people who have encountered CPT codes, the Current Procedural Terminology codes used in US healthcare billing. CPT code discussions appear heavily in American weight-loss forums and insurance guidance, and they surface in UK searches because the internet does not separate audiences cleanly. CPT codes have no function in the UK's NHS or private prescription system. If you've seen one referenced in a UK context, the source is almost certainly drawing on US material.
The coding system that does apply in UK and European pharmacy is the ATC (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical) classification. Semaglutide's ATC code is A10BJ06, sitting within the blood glucose-lowering drug class. Pharmacists and clinical researchers use these codes for prescribing records, drug interaction checks and pharmacovigilance, they are administrative identifiers, not anything a patient needs to quote or act on. There is also a separate product code for Wegovy used in dispensing systems, which similarly sits in the background of your prescription rather than affecting access or cost.
For a fuller look at how semaglutide works and what the clinical evidence shows, the NICE appraisal of semaglutide (TA875) is the definitive UK reference, it covers the evidence base, the patient populations studied and the conditions under which NICE recommends it.
The only lawful route to Wegovy in the UK is a prescription following a clinical assessment. On the NHS, access is via specialist weight management services under the NICE TA875 criteria, a maximum two-year course, within a multidisciplinary programme, for adults meeting specific BMI and comorbidity thresholds. Waiting lists can be long. Private prescribing through a registered online pharmacy is the alternative for people who don't meet the NHS criteria yet, or who don't want to wait.
If you're considering the private route, the relevant questions are: is the pharmacy on the GPhC register, does a qualified prescriber review your answers personally, and does the price include everything? Our Wegovy treatment overview covers the licensed indication, the dose pathway and what to expect. You can also read about weight-loss treatment options more broadly if you want to compare approaches before deciding. The clinical team at nume reviews every consultation personally, a real prescriber, not automated software, reads your answers before anything is approved or dispatched.
If you're ready to find out whether you're suitable, you can check your eligibility with a free consultation. There are no codes to enter and nothing hidden in the price.
