Start journey Learn moreWegovy costs in the UK vary by dose, provider and what is bundled into the price. In the private market, monthly treatment typically runs somewhere between £150 and £375, depending on which strength you are on and who you buy it from. Semaglutide (sold as Wegovy) is a prescription-only medicine, so every legitimate purchase involves a clinical assessment by a prescriber. At nume, one transparent price covers the consultation, the prescription, the medicine itself, and free next-working-day delivery — no extras added at checkout.

Semaglutide is not a generic. Wegovy is manufactured exclusively by Novo Nordisk under a strict licensed supply chain, and the medicine itself carries a wholesale cost that sets a floor beneath any retail price. On top of that floor, every legitimate UK provider must cover a clinical consultation, a prescription issued by a registered prescriber, dispensing and pharmacist oversight, and safe tracked delivery. Those are not optional extras for regulated pharmacies, they are what makes the supply chain safe.
That is why the range of Wegovy prices you see quoted online spans a fairly wide band rather than converging on one figure. Lower doses cost less than higher doses, and if you want to understand exactly what you will pay at a specific volume, the Wegovy 1ml price page breaks that down for that particular pen size. Some providers charge separately for each component; others roll them together. Neither is inherently wrong, but they make direct comparison difficult if you are only looking at the headline number.
Worth noting: Eli Lilly's price increase for tirzepatide in September 2025 drew a lot of attention, but Novo Nordisk's own pricing for Wegovy in the UK private market has also shifted over time, always check the treatment page for the current figure rather than relying on quotes you read months ago.
This is where costs of Wegovy vary most in practice. Some providers quote the pen price alone. The clinical consultation, the prescription fee, and delivery are billed separately, sometimes at checkout, sometimes as recurring charges on a subscription you may not have noticed when you signed up.
A few things to look for before committing to any provider: Is there a consultation fee on top? Is aftercare included if you have a question between doses, or does that cost extra? Is delivery free, or is it £5–£10 per shipment? Does the price auto-renew, or is every repeat order reviewed and charged transparently?
The monthly cost of Wegovy looks quite different once those line items are added back in. A headline price £30 lower than a competitor's can reverse itself quickly once consultation, prescription and postage are included, and understanding the Wegovy 1mg cost at your maintenance dose is a useful starting point for that calculation. This is consumer education, not a competition, but it is worth doing the arithmetic before you order.
At nume, we made a deliberate choice not to be the lowest-priced option. Cheapest is not a race we entered. One price covers everything: the consultation, the prescription, the medicine, and free next-working-day delivery by DPD. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, and no repeat order goes out without a fresh clinical review by a GPhC-registered prescriber.
If payday falls on the 28th and you want to order on the 29th, or you are trying to get a pen dispatched before a bank holiday weekend, the 12pm Monday-to-Friday cut-off is the practical thing to know: order before noon on a working day, and once your prescriber approves it, the pen goes out the same afternoon.
Current treatment pricing is shown on the weight-loss treatments page, we do not print per-pen prices in article copy because they can change, and we would rather you see the live figure than an outdated one.
Wegovy is a Prescription-Only Medicine. The MHRA has repeatedly warned about counterfeit weight-loss pens sold online without any prescribing process, some containing dangerous substitutes. A price that sits well below the market range is not a bargain, it is a signal that something in the supply chain has been skipped.
The right question is not which provider charges the least. It is which provider can confirm that your medicine comes through the licensed UK supply chain, that a real clinician has assessed whether it is right for you, and that you will have someone to contact if something does not feel right. You can verify any online pharmacy on the GPhC register, nume's premises registration number is 9012878.
For a fuller picture of how the cost of Wegovy compares to other licensed weight-loss treatments, or to read about the medicine itself, the Wegovy overview page is a good place to start. To check your eligibility and speak to a prescriber, the next step is a free consultation.
