Start journey Learn moreWhen you search a Wegovy price comparison site, you're not really looking for the cheapest number on a list. You're trying to work out whether a private prescription is worth the cost, and whether the service behind the price can be trusted. Those are different questions — and this page answers both. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a prescription-only medicine in the UK, so any legitimate price you see includes a clinical assessment by a qualified prescriber; what changes between providers is everything else: speed, safety checks, aftercare, and what happens when you need support at 7pm on a Friday. For a full breakdown of how private semaglutide pricing works across the UK, see our Wegovy price comparison in the UK guide.

A price comparison site for Wegovy will typically surface a monthly or per-pen figure for each provider. That number is real, but it rarely tells the whole story. Some services charge separately for the consultation, the prescription, the delivery, or the clinical monitoring calls that are meant to accompany treatment. Add those up and the headline price shifts considerably.
Wegovy is a prescription-only medicine, which means every legitimate listing you see presupposes a clinical assessment. The full overview of Wegovy explains what that assessment covers, but the short version is this: a qualified prescriber reviews your health history, confirms your eligibility, and takes responsibility for your prescription. That clinical step is not optional, and a provider who buries it in the small print (or charges you extra for it after you've committed) is not being straight with you.
It's also worth knowing that Eli Lilly raised its UK list price for Mounjaro significantly from September 2025, and similar cost pressures apply across the weight-loss medicine market. Widely reported private Wegovy pricing since then sits in the range of roughly £149–£375 per month depending on the dose and provider, figures worth bearing in mind when you see a price that sits well outside that band in either direction. If you want to see how costs break down at the earlier stages of treatment, the 1mg Wegovy price comparison page and the 1.7mg Wegovy price comparison page both walk through what providers are currently charging at those doses. For a dose-level look at what those numbers mean in practice, the 2.4mg Wegovy price comparison page goes into more detail.
The MHRA has warned repeatedly and specifically about fake weight-loss pens sold online. In one well-documented enforcement operation in October 2025, regulators raided the first UK site manufacturing counterfeit tirzepatide pens; across 2025, approximately 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines (valued at around £45 million) were seized. These aren't low-quality genuine pens. Some have contained insulin. The physical harm from injecting the wrong substance is serious and, in some cases, has required hospitalisation.
The pattern that precedes most counterfeit purchases is exactly what comparison sites can obscure: a price that seems attractively low, a seller who doesn't ask for a formal prescription, and a transaction that bypasses clinical oversight entirely. You can verify any online pharmacy in seconds using the GPhC register, a legitimate service will appear there; an unverified one won't. If you come across a seller offering Wegovy without a clinical consultation, that is the red flag, not a bargain.
If something looks suspect, you can report it through the MHRA's Yellow Card scheme, which handles both side-effect reports and suspected counterfeit or illegally sold medicines. The MHRA's public guidance on GLP-1 medicines is also worth reading before you commit to any provider.
We understand the instinct to search for the best deal. Weight-loss treatment is a significant ongoing cost, and it makes sense to want to spend carefully. But for a prescription medicine, the meaningful comparison is not between prices, it's between what those prices include.
At nume, we're not the cheapest option available, and that's a deliberate position. One transparent price covers your free consultation, a same-day review by a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber, your prescription, your treatment, and free next-working-day tracked delivery. Aftercare is available seven days a week. There is no subscription, and no repeat order leaves our GPhC-registered pharmacy without a fresh clinical review. You can read more about how we work on the about us page, or about the clinical standards behind every consultation on our prescribers' page.
Current treatment pricing is shown on the weight-loss treatments page, we don't print per-pen figures in body copy, because pricing shifts and we'd rather you see the live number in context. What doesn't shift is the structure: everything in, nothing hidden, no automatic renewals.
A price table tells you what a pen costs. It can't tell you whether Wegovy is clinically suitable for you at this point in time, which dose makes sense given your history, or what to do if you experience persistent nausea after your second injection. Those answers require a prescriber, and the quality of that clinical relationship is the thing most comparison sites make invisible.
Wegovy is licensed in the UK for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above alongside a weight-related health condition, and suitability goes beyond those numbers. A prescriber will want to know about existing medications, relevant medical history, and your goals. NICE's guidance on semaglutide (TA875) sets out the clinical rationale, and the NICE TA875 recommendations are publicly available if you want to read the detail. Our semaglutide price comparison page covers the broader private market context.
If you're ready to have that clinical conversation, your free consultation is the right next step. It costs nothing, takes place the same day, and puts the decision in the hands of a qualified person who can actually answer it.
