Mounjaro prices in the UK private market rose sharply from 1 September 2025, when Eli Lilly increased the list price of the highest-dose pen from around £122 to around £330. That single change rippled through private prescribers and pharmacies almost immediately. If you are budgeting for treatment now, or wondering whether prices are likely to move again, the short answer is: private pricing follows Lilly's list price and provider costs, so it can shift with little warning. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, which means any legitimate source requires a clinical assessment before you can obtain it — the price you pay should always reflect that. You can read a full breakdown of how UK private pricing works on our Mounjaro price page.

How Mounjaro pricing has moved, why it might move again, and how to read the numbers honestly

You checked the price last month and it looks different today

That is not your imagination. UK private Mounjaro prices have been genuinely volatile. Before September 2025, a single pen at the highest dose could be found for around £122 through some private providers. Eli Lilly then restructured its UK list price, and the highest dose moved to around £330 per pen. Most private pharmacies and clinics adjusted their pricing within weeks. Reported private prices since that change have ranged roughly between £149 and £375 a month, varying by dose and provider, and the lower doses cost less because the pen contains less medicine.

It is worth being clear about what drives this. Mounjaro's UK price is ultimately anchored to Eli Lilly's authorised supply chain. When the manufacturer adjusts what it charges the licensed wholesalers, that feeds through to what pharmacies pay, and then to what patients are quoted. No private provider controls this upstream; they absorb the change or pass it on. If you want to track whether prices are still moving, our page on whether Mounjaro prices will go up covers the current picture, and you can also read about when Mounjaro is going up in price for a closer look at the timing of past and expected changes.

The practical implication: if you are comparing quotes across providers right now, a figure from three months ago may already be out of date. Always ask for a current, all-in quote before assuming you know the cost.

What a headline price often leaves out, and why it matters more than the number

Here is the scenario our prescribers hear fairly often: someone finds what looks like a lower price, orders, then discovers there is a separate consultation fee, a prescription charge, and a delivery cost on top. By the time the pen arrives the saving has gone, and they have dealt with an unfamiliar pharmacy they know little about.

Private Mounjaro pricing varies not just by dose but by what the price includes. Some providers charge for the consultation separately, sometimes £20–£50 per visit. Prescription fees, delivery charges, and follow-up review costs can all be itemised separately. None of this is hidden in the sense of being illegal, but it makes straight price comparisons unreliable unless you know exactly what is bundled.

The other thing headline prices rarely mention is aftercare. Dose titration for Mounjaro runs from 2.5mg upward, reviewed by a prescriber at each stage. Patients who hit a difficult week, or who need a clinical conversation before their next order, need somewhere to go. Some providers charge for that contact; others do not offer it at all. Our Mounjaro treatment overview explains what clinical support looks like across the treatment journey.

NICE's guidance on tirzepatide (TA1026) sets out the clinical framework within which this medicine is used, it was designed to be managed alongside dietary and lifestyle support, not dispensed and forgotten.

Where nume sits on price, and why we are upfront about it

We are not the cheapest option in the UK private market. That is a deliberate decision, not an oversight. One transparent price at nume covers your consultation, your prescription, your treatment, and free next-working-day tracked delivery with DPD, plus priority aftercare seven days a week if you need to reach us. Nothing is billed separately. Order before midday on a weekday and, once a prescriber has approved your treatment, your pen goes out the same afternoon. If you are used to sorting deliveries around the school run, you will know why the 12pm cut-off matters.

Every repeat order is clinically re-reviewed before it goes out. That is a step some providers skip. We also verify photo ID, confirm weight on a live video call, and notify your GP in line with GPhC guidance. These steps cost time and resource. They are also the steps that keep treatment safe.

We do not run discount codes, voucher schemes, or promotional pricing for prescription medicines. If you have seen a code for Mounjaro circulating online, the MHRA has been clear that sellers offering prescription medicines at steep discounts or without a clinical assessment are a red flag for counterfeit supply. You can verify any online pharmacy (including us) against the GPhC register at pharmacyregulation.org. Our premises registration number is 9012878.

Price is one number. Safety is a different question

Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine. The clinical assessment is not a formality bolted onto a transaction, it is the part that determines whether this treatment is appropriate for you, at what dose, and with what monitoring. The NHS's tirzepatide guidance makes clear that treatment should be supported by dietary advice and regular review.

What that means practically: the cheapest Mounjaro listing you find answers the wrong question. The question worth asking is whether the provider has a GPhC-registered pharmacy, a named prescriber who reviews your case personally, and a supply chain that runs through Eli Lilly's licensed UK distributors. Counterfeit tirzepatide pens have been found in the UK supply, the MHRA raided the first illicit domestic manufacturing site producing fake pens in late 2025, seizing around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines worth approximately £45 million. The pens looked credible. The contents were not.

If you want to understand how prices are likely to move over the coming months, our page on when Mounjaro prices will go up covers what is known, and our dedicated page on when the Mounjaro price goes up goes into further detail on the specific triggers behind each change. And if you are ready to talk to a prescriber about whether treatment is right for you, the consultation is free.
