Start journey Learn moreIf you've been searching where Mounjaro is in stock, here's the honest answer: as a prescription-only medicine, the only legal route to it in the UK is through a qualified prescriber who assesses your suitability first. You can't simply buy it off the shelf, and any seller offering it without that clinical step is operating outside the law. Stock availability varies between pharmacies and by dose, but a regulated online pharmacy with its own dispensary (verified on the GPhC register) is often the most reliable way to access it quickly once approved. The Mounjaro treatment page explains the full picture, and our prescribers review consultations the same working day.

Picture the situation most people arrive at: you've done the research, you know Mounjaro is prescription-only, but the GP hasn't referred you yet, the NHS criteria feel distant, and you're seeing prices and stock claims all over the internet with no obvious way to tell who's legitimate. That uncertainty is completely understandable. It's also exactly why knowing the legal framework matters before you click anything.
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a Prescription-Only Medicine under UK law. That means a qualified prescriber must assess whether it's clinically appropriate for you before any supply can happen. There's no shortcut to that step. The NHS tirzepatide medicines page sets out the basics clearly, and the General Pharmaceutical Council's register lets anyone verify whether a pharmacy is properly regulated, more on that below.
Stock levels do genuinely fluctuate, particularly at the 5mg and 10mg doses as patients titrate up. If you're trying to find where has Mounjaro in stock right now, checking across multiple regulated pharmacies is often the most practical approach. A live stock update page can help you understand current availability at any given time, but availability alone isn't a reason to choose a provider.
When you consult through a regulated service, the prescriber reviews your health history, confirms your BMI and any relevant conditions, and decides whether treatment is suitable. That review (done by a named prescriber, not an automated system) is the part that keeps you safe. It's also the part that many cut-price sellers quietly skip.
The GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) registers every lawfully operating UK pharmacy, including online ones. Checking takes about twenty seconds: visit the GPhC pharmacy register, search by name or registration number, and confirm the pharmacy holds a current registered premises approval. If it isn't listed, don't order. That's the whole test.
The MHRA has been explicit about the risks of unverified sellers. Counterfeit weight-loss pens have been found to contain insulin and other substitutes. In October 2025, enforcement officers raided a site in the UK that was manufacturing fake tirzepatide pens, and in 2025 alone, around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines (roughly £45 million street value) were seized. These weren't overseas operations in every case. The MHRA's Yellow Card scheme lets you report a suspect seller directly if you encounter one.
Red flags to look for: a seller offering Mounjaro without a clinical assessment, prices significantly below current market rates, a social-media-only presence, or anyone promoting discount codes for a prescription medicine. That last point matters, buying Mounjaro online through a legitimate pharmacy doesn't involve promo codes. Prescription medicines simply don't work that way.
nume's GPhC premises registration number is 9012878. You can check it directly at the link above. We'd encourage you to check any pharmacy you're considering, including ours.
Mounjaro is licensed in the UK for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above alongside at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol or obstructive sleep apnoea. Lower BMI thresholds apply for some ethnic backgrounds under UK clinical guidance. A BMI figure alone doesn't determine the outcome, the prescriber weighs the full clinical picture.
At nume, the process is straightforward. You complete a free online consultation covering your health history, current medications and relevant measurements. A GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber reviews it the same day. They'll ask for photo ID and live weight verification by video, standard practice for a regulated service, and one of the safeguards that separates a clinical pharmacy from an unverified seller. If you're transferring from another provider or requesting a dose increase, evidence of your treatment history is also reviewed.
Our clinical team handles that review personally. If treatment is appropriate, your order is dispatched the same day (for consultations approved before 12pm, Monday to Friday). The pen arrives the next working day via DPD, tracked, and in a plain box that tells the postman nothing about the contents. Details like that matter to a lot of people, and they should.
If you're still weighing up your options, the weight-loss treatments overview covers everything available. For questions about specific doses currently in stock, the 5mg stock page and 10mg stock page carry up-to-date information.
NHS access to Mounjaro follows a phased rollout under NICE's appraisal TA1026. From around June 2025, adults with a BMI of 40 or above plus four or more qualifying conditions became eligible in the first cohort. A second cohort (BMI 35 to 39.9 with four or more conditions) activated in June 2026. Criteria continue to expand, but GP participation in the new prescribing arrangement is optional and varies by practice and area.
For people who don't meet the current NHS thresholds, or who'd rather not wait, a regulated private pharmacy is the alternative route. There are no referrals required and no waiting lists. The consultation, prescription, delivery and aftercare are covered in one price, and if you want to buy multiple months of Mounjaro upfront, a prescriber still carries out a fresh clinical review for each supply, so no one stays on treatment past the point it's appropriate. You can read more about the NHS rollout and what private access involves on the Mounjaro stock and access page, or go straight to the FAQs if you have a specific question. When you're ready, start your free consultation and a prescriber will take it from there.
