Start journey Learn moreIf you want to buy Wegovy 0.5mg in the UK, the only lawful route is a prescription issued by a registered prescriber after a clinical assessment — no pharmacy, online or otherwise, can legally dispense it any other way. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a Prescription-Only Medicine regulated by the NHS, which means a qualified clinician must review your health before any treatment begins. At nume, that review is carried out by a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber on the same day you submit your consultation — a real clinician reading your notes, not software running a checklist. Once approved as clinically suitable, your treatment is dispatched the same day (for orders in before 12pm, Monday to Friday) and arrives free by tracked DPD the next working day, in plain packaging.

How it works
Tell us about your health, history and goals. Free, online, and confidential — no commitment, no waiting room.
Our team reviews your health the same day — never an algorithm, and approves your treatment there and then if eligible.
Order by 12pm, dispatched same day, delivered free the next working day — the nume Promise.
The process starts with a consultation, not a shopping cart. You fill in a structured health questionnaire covering your weight history, relevant conditions, current medicines and lifestyle. This is the clinical information a prescriber needs to assess whether Wegovy is appropriate for you and, if so, at which dose to begin.
A question our prescribers hear most weeks is whether 0.5mg is a dose someone can simply request. In practice, semaglutide treatment starts at 0.25mg for the first four weeks as a tolerability measure, then typically steps to 0.5mg. The 0.5mg step-up dose is therefore a normal part of the licensed titration schedule, and your prescriber will confirm whether it is the right point for you based on your individual assessment. You can read more about the broader titration pathway on the Wegovy treatment overview.
At nume, there is no charge for the consultation itself. Everything (consultation, prescription, medicine, delivery) is covered in one transparent price shown on the treatment page, with no subscription and no automatic renewal.
Before any prescription is issued, you will be asked to verify your identity with photo ID and confirm your current weight on a brief video call. This is not bureaucracy for its own sake. It protects you: a prescriber cannot responsibly assess BMI eligibility or monitor your progress without knowing who you are and what you actually weigh today.
Wegovy is licensed in the UK for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above alongside at least one weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, raised cholesterol or type 2 diabetes. Lower BMI thresholds can apply for some ethnic backgrounds under UK guidance. BMI alone does not decide the outcome, the prescriber weighs the full clinical picture. You can explore the eligibility criteria in more detail on the weight-loss treatment page.
If you are transferring from another provider or have been on treatment before, you will be asked to provide evidence of your current dose. That keeps your titration safe and gives the prescriber everything they need to make the right call.
If the prescriber approves your treatment, the prescription is issued through nume's own GPhC-registered online pharmacy (registration number 9012878, verifiable on the GPhC register). Medicine is sourced through the licensed UK supply chain, Novo Nordisk authorised distribution. Nothing grey-market, nothing imported informally.
Place your order before 12pm Monday to Friday and, once clinically approved, it goes out the same day. DPD delivers the next working day. You get a tracking link so you know exactly when it arrives. The prescribing and dispensing process is handled entirely within a regulated clinical framework, no part of it is automated away from a qualified professional. Every repeat order is reviewed again before dispatch. That is how a responsibly run service works, and it is the reason we do not offer auto-renewals.
If you have questions at any point, our support team is available seven days a week.
The MHRA has warned publicly and repeatedly about counterfeit weight-loss pens sold through social media and unregulated websites. Fake pens have been found to contain insulin rather than semaglutide, and in 2025 the MHRA seized approximately 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines with an estimated street value of around £45 million. A manufacturing site producing fake tirzepatide pens was raided in Northampton. The MHRA Yellow Card scheme allows anyone to report a suspected counterfeit seller, use it if you encounter one.
The red flags to know: any seller offering Wegovy without a prescription, prices far below the private market rate, or sellers operating through social media with no verifiable pharmacy registration. You can check whether any online pharmacy is legitimate in seconds using the GPhC pharmacy register. Legitimate supply requires a valid UK prescription. That is the threshold that separates a genuine clinical service from a risk.
For a broader look at what is currently available and in stock, the Wegovy 0.5mg stock page has current information. You can also explore all Wegovy purchasing options or read about the next dose step on the Wegovy 1mg page. Our clinical team's approach to prescribing is outlined on the clinical team profile.
