Start journey Learn moreThe cheapest 5mg Mounjaro pen in the UK private market typically sits in a range that reflects what's included in the quote — not a fixed, universal price. As of autumn 2025, following Eli Lilly's list-price revision, private providers are reporting monthly costs roughly between £149 and £375 depending on the dose and what the package covers. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, which means no provider can legally supply it without a clinical assessment by a qualified prescriber — so any headline figure you see online should prompt the question: what else does that price include? Understanding that question is where the real comparison begins.

Mounjaro is licensed in the UK for weight management in adults, a decision supported by the NICE appraisal published in December 2024 (NICE technology appraisal TA1026) and underpinned by evidence from the SURMOUNT clinical programme, which randomised thousands of adults with obesity. Treatment starts at 2.5mg for the first four weeks as a tolerability dose; the prescriber then steps patients up, and 5mg is the first therapeutic increase on that schedule. That context matters for price, because the 5mg pen is where many people spend their second month of treatment, and it's often the dose that attracts the most comparison-shopping.
Eli Lilly revised Mounjaro's UK list price from 1 September 2025. The higher doses saw the sharpest increases, with the highest strength rising from roughly £122 to around £330 per four-week pen at list price. The 5mg pen sits lower in that range, but as widely reported at the time, the revision affected the entire schedule. Private providers pass these costs through in different ways, which is why the spread between providers at 5mg can look wider than you'd expect.
The BNF (the prescribing reference used by UK clinicians) lists tirzepatide across all six UK strengths. You can review the tirzepatide entry in the BNF for the full licensed range; it won't give you a private price, but it confirms what a legitimate supply chain actually looks like.
This is the part that catches people out. A quoted figure for the cheapest 5mg Mounjaro pen in the UK may or may not include: the consultation fee, the prescription charge, the delivery fee, and access to aftercare if something goes wrong between doses. Some providers list these as separate line items; others bundle them but add a recurring subscription charge that auto-renews without a fresh clinical review. Neither model is inherently dishonest, but it does mean that two prices displayed side by side are often not comparing the same thing.
There's also a question of clinical rigour. Mounjaro requires a prescriber to review your health, weight, current medicines and history before issuing a prescription. A consultation that takes thirty seconds and asks three questions is not the same as one where a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber reads your answers carefully and, where needed, requests further information. You won't see that difference in a price comparison. Our prescribers (meet the clinical team here) personally review every consultation the same day it's submitted.
If you're trying to get a realistic sense of how Mounjaro is priced across the private market, it's worth accounting for all of those variables before treating the headline number as the full cost.
We'll be plain about it: cheapest isn't a race we entered. One transparent price covers the consultation, the prescription, the medication, free next-working-day delivery with DPD, and seven-day aftercare, nothing added at checkout, no subscription, no auto-renewal. If you order before 12pm on a working day and your prescription is approved, your pen leaves our GPhC-registered pharmacy the same day. (The 12pm cut-off is genuinely useful if you're working out timings around the rest of your day.)
There are no discount codes, voucher promotions or seasonal offers. Prescription medicines are not the place for them. What a lower price from an unverified source is more likely to indicate is a gap somewhere in the process, a shorter consultation, a subscription lock-in, or, in more serious cases, a supply chain that hasn't been verified. The MHRA has warned publicly about counterfeit weight-loss pens circulating online; some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide. You can check any online pharmacy on the GPhC register before you order from them. Our registration number is 9012878.
If you'd like to understand more about what drives Mounjaro pen prices across doses, or how the 5mg fits into the broader treatment schedule, that context is worth reading before making a decision purely on cost. You can also read about when and why Mounjaro prices change, useful background given last year's list-price revision.
The right questions when choosing where to get the 5mg Mounjaro pen are not really about price at all. Is the pharmacy GPhC-registered? Is a named, qualified prescriber reviewing your case, not a questionnaire algorithm? Is the medicine coming from the licensed UK supply chain, with Eli Lilly as the manufacturer? Can you contact the clinical team if you have concerns between doses?
Our about page explains how we're set up and who's behind the service. The Mounjaro information page covers how the medicine works, eligibility, and what to expect from treatment, useful reading before or after your consultation. And if you're comparing the 5mg to other points in the schedule, the 7.5mg pen pricing page or the 10mg pen overview put the broader cost picture in context.
A small saving on a prescription medicine is not the measure that keeps you safe. Clinical supervision, genuine supply, and proper aftercare are. If you're ready to find out whether Mounjaro is suitable for you, start your free consultation and our prescribers will take it from there.
