The cheapest site for Wegovy isn't always the safest one, and in the UK the two things are worth separating clearly. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a prescription-only medicine — every legitimate supply requires a clinical assessment by a registered prescriber before a single pen is dispensed. Private providers price treatment per pen per month, and what that figure includes varies considerably. The full picture on Wegovy pricing is worth understanding before you compare numbers.

How UK private Wegovy pricing actually works, and what the headline figure often hides

Step 1: understand what a legitimate UK price must cover

Every legal supply of Wegovy in the UK starts with a prescription. There is no lawful shortcut around that: the Human Medicines Regulations require clinical assessment before a prescriber can issue one. A provider quoting a low per-pen price is quoting for the pen itself; whether that price includes the consultation, the prescription fee, delivery and any follow-up support is a different question entirely.

Private Wegovy pricing in the UK is typically quoted per four-week supply. Since Eli Lilly's September 2025 list-price increase for Mounjaro brought broader attention to GLP-1 costs, Novo Nordisk's Wegovy pricing across private providers has been widely reported in the range of roughly £149 to £375 per month depending on the dose and the provider. Those figures are hedged for a reason: they reflect a market that moves. What they don't tell you is how much of the clinical overhead is already baked in.

NICE's guidance on semaglutide for weight management (TA875) and the NHS medicines page for semaglutide both make plain that this is a medicine requiring ongoing clinical oversight, not a product you buy once and self-manage.

Step 2: check what the cheapest listing actually excludes

A price comparison between providers is only meaningful if the items being compared match. The things most commonly absent from a headline price include: the initial consultation fee, the prescription charge, delivery costs, and any form of clinical support after the first pen arrives.

Some providers charge separately for each of those. A pen that looks £30 cheaper can quietly cost more once a consultation fee, a prescription processing charge and a delivery charge are added. The aftercare gap matters too. Wegovy is titrated over several months (starting at 0.25mg and working up) and questions arise at every dose level. If support between orders isn't included, you'll either pay for it separately or go without.

For a practical sense of where to get Wegovy at a fair total cost, it helps to add up every line, not just the pen.

Step 3: place price in the right context for a prescription medicine

There's a version of the cheapest-price search that leads somewhere useful, and a version that leads somewhere risky. The MHRA has issued repeated public warnings about fake weight-loss pens sold online, some seized batches have contained insulin rather than semaglutide, with serious consequences for buyers. Around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines, with a street value near £45 million, were seized in 2025 alone.

Red flags include sellers offering Wegovy without a clinical assessment, prices far below anything a regulated pharmacy can plausibly charge, and sellers active only on social media. You can check whether any online pharmacy is legitimately registered at the GPhC pharmacy register. If it isn't listed there, don't buy from it. Suspect sellers can also be reported via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.

For a broader look at the cheapest legitimate cost of Wegovy across regulated providers, the GPhC register is the right starting point.

Step 4: what nume, sorry, what nume offers, and why we're not entering the price race

We're not the cheapest option. That's a deliberate choice, and we'd rather say it plainly than bury it. Our single transparent price covers the consultation, the prescription, next-working-day tracked DPD delivery and 7-day aftercare. There are no add-ons, no subscription that renews without your say-so, and no extra charge when a prescriber reviews your repeat.

Every consultation at nume is read by a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber the same day, your answers go to a clinician's desk, not into an automated queue. We verify your identity by photo-ID and confirm your weight on a live video call. Your Wegovy sits in the fridge door, having travelled in a temperature-controlled plain parcel that arrived the next working day. That is the service the price pays for.

Current treatment pricing is shown on our treatment page, including a full breakdown of what each dose costs, such as what you can expect to pay for the cheapest Wegovy 1mg option and how the Wegovy 1.75mg price is structured at that stage of titration. We don't run discount codes, voucher promotions or price-match offers, for a prescription medicine, we think the right measure is clinical rigour and genuine supply, not the lowest number on a comparison page. You can read more about who we are and our clinical team if you'd like to know more before you start.

If you're weighing up the full picture on Wegovy as a treatment, including how it works and who it suits, that's a good place to begin. Or, if you're ready to see whether you're eligible, check your eligibility with a free consultation.
