Compare Mounjaro Cost: What UK Private Pricing Actually Includes

Free clinical consultation: a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber reads your answers and medical history the same day, not software, not a queue.
Prescription and dispensing included: no separate fee at checkout or on repeat.
Free next-working-day tracked delivery via DPD, in plain unbranded packaging.
Priority aftercare seven days a week, with clinical re-review before every repeat order, no subscription, no auto-renewal.

When you compare Mounjaro costs across UK providers, prices vary by dose and by what each quote actually covers. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine — no provider can lawfully supply it without a clinical assessment — so the headline figure rarely tells the whole story. Understanding what sits behind any price is the smarter question to ask.

How Mounjaro pricing works in the UK, and where the gaps appear

Step 1: understand what the UK price landscape looks like

Eli Lilly raised Mounjaro's UK list price on 1 September 2025. Before that change, the highest-dose pen carried a list price of around £122; after it, that same pen's list price rose to around £330. Private providers set their own retail prices on top of that, and the market has shifted accordingly. Reported private prices since September 2025 range roughly from £149 to £375 per four-week period depending on dose and provider. Those figures are quoted widely and hedged here for good reason: they move, and they only represent what you pay at the till, not necessarily what the visit costs in full.

Mounjaro treatment begins at 2.5mg and is typically stepped up every four weeks by a prescriber working through the licensed schedule. The dose you're on shapes the Mounjaro price you pay, which is why comparisons made at a single dose point don't always travel. You can read a fuller breakdown of how dose affects cost on our Mounjaro cost page.

One honest acknowledgement: if you've spent an evening tabbing between provider sites and come away more confused than when you started, that's a reasonable response. The presentation of pricing in this market is inconsistent, and the differences between quotes aren't always what they first appear to be.

Step 2: identify what headline prices often leave out

A low monthly figure can look compelling until you add what it excluded. Common additions include a separate consultation fee charged at signup, a prescription fee billed per order, a delivery charge (sometimes tiered, sometimes per item), and a support or membership fee for ongoing clinical contact. Taken together, these can close the gap between a 'cheap' quote and an all-inclusive one considerably. The Mounjaro price comparison UK page sets out these variables side by side.

There's also a less-visible cost: what happens between orders. If your dose needs reviewing, if a side effect prompts a question at the weekend, or if you want to discuss a missed dose, some providers charge for that contact or don't offer it at all. NICE's guidance on tirzepatide (TA1026) frames Mounjaro as a treatment that requires clinical oversight throughout, not just at the point of first prescription. That ongoing relationship has a cost to deliver, and it tends to appear somewhere in the pricing model whether stated or not.

At nume, sorry: at Mounjaro treatment at nume is quoted as one figure. Consultation, prescription, delivery and aftercare are inside it. No line items appear at checkout.

Step 3: weigh what 'cheaper' actually means for a prescription medicine

There's a version of this that's straightforward: if two providers use the same licensed UK supply chain, employ GPhC-registered prescribers, verify your identity and weight, and offer comparable aftercare, then a lower price is a reasonable reason to choose one over the other. You can compare Mounjaro prices across providers to see how that assessment plays out in practice.

The version worth being cautious about is the quote that sits well below the market and doesn't explain why. The MHRA has warned publicly about fake weight-loss pens circulating online, counterfeit tirzepatide pens were found being manufactured illegally in the UK as recently as October 2025, and around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines worth roughly £45 million were seized during enforcement activity in 2025. A price that clears that bar without a prescription or identity check is a red flag, not a bargain. You can verify any online pharmacy on the GPhC register before you order.

For a prescription medicine, the relevant question isn't which provider charges least, it's which one gives you genuine medicine, reviewed by a real clinician, with support built in if something doesn't go to plan. Price is part of that picture, not the whole of it. Our guide to finding the cheapest Mounjaro goes further on what that assessment looks like in practice.

nume's position on pricing, stated plainly

We are not the cheapest Mounjaro provider in the UK, deliberately. One transparent price covers the consultation, the prescription, the medicine, next-working-day delivery, and seven-day aftercare. There are no add-ons. We don't run discount codes or promotional offers on prescription medicines, a discount code attached to a POM from an unverified source should prompt a question, not a purchase.

Our prescribers are GPhC-registered Independent Prescribers who personally review every consultation the same day. Order before 12pm Monday to Friday and, once clinically approved, your treatment leaves our pharmacy the same day. Every repeat order goes back through clinical review, not because it's inconvenient, but because that's what responsible prescribing looks like. You can see how that process works on our weight loss treatments page, or read about the clinical team behind it on the clinical team profile.

If you want to explore the full cost picture alongside what's included in private weight management, the weight loss treatment overview is a good place to start.
