A single Wegovy pen in the UK private market typically costs somewhere between £149 and £375 per month, depending on your dose and the provider you use — figures that have shifted since Novo Nordisk adjusted its UK pricing in 2025. These are private prescription prices; Wegovy is a prescription-only medicine, so every legal supply requires a clinical assessment before a pen can be dispensed. The amount of semaglutide in each Wegovy pen varies by dose step, from the 0.25 mg starting pen through to the 2.4 mg maintenance dose (and now up to 7.2 mg with the newer higher-dose pen approved by the MHRA in April 2026). Knowing the pen price is useful — but it rarely tells the whole story of what you are actually paying for.

What the Wegovy pen price actually includes, and what it often does not

Why Wegovy pen prices sit where they do in 2025–26

Wegovy's position in the UK market is set partly by what NICE concluded in its appraisal of semaglutide for weight management (TA875): the evidence supported meaningful, sustained weight loss for eligible adults, with trial data from the STEP 1 programme showing an average body-weight reduction of around 15% over 68 weeks at the 2.4 mg maintenance dose. That level of clinical evidence, plus the cost of a cold-chain supply and mandatory prescriber oversight, puts Wegovy in a different category from an over-the-counter supplement. Price reflects that.

Since Eli Lilly raised its Mounjaro list price significantly in autumn 2025, the broader injectable weight-loss market has repriced across providers. If you want a clear breakdown of what each strength currently costs, our Wegovy pen price guide sets out the figures by dose step in one place. The latest Wegovy pricing landscape has continued to move, so a figure you saw six months ago may no longer reflect current reality.

There is a common assumption that a higher-dose pen costs proportionally more because it contains more injections. In practice, each Wegovy pen delivers four weekly doses, so one pen covers one month of treatment at the current step on your titration schedule. What changes the price is the dose strength in each of those four injections, not the number of them. Worth knowing before comparing quotes.

What a headline price on a Wegovy pen may leave out

A quoted pen price is sometimes exactly that: the pen, with everything else billed separately. Across UK private providers, additional charges you might encounter include the initial consultation fee, the prescription fee, a delivery charge (tracked cold-chain shipping is not cheap), and any follow-up clinical review costs when you move to the next dose step. Some services also charge for aftercare messages or prescriber queries between orders.

None of that reflects badly on any individual provider, running a safe, regulated service costs money. The point is that a low headline figure and a genuinely all-in price are two different things. If you want to compare fairly, add up consultation, prescription, the pen itself, delivery and at least one follow-up review. You can explore what a full course of Wegovy costs when all of those components are counted.

It is also worth knowing that Wegovy's titration schedule means you will be on different dose pens at different times, starting at 0.25 mg and working upward. The cost at the 1 mg step is not the same as the cost at 2.4 mg maintenance. A service that quotes only its cheapest pen may not be the same price once you reach the dose at which most of the clinical work actually happens.

What nume charges, and why it is not the lowest number out there

We are not going to claim the lowest price. Competing on cost for a prescription medicine is a race we stepped back from deliberately, because what you save in pounds you can easily lose in clinical rigour. Our price for Wegovy covers a free consultation, the prescription, the pen itself, next-working-day tracked DPD delivery at no extra charge, and 7-day-a-week aftercare from a real clinical team. No add-ons appear at checkout. No subscription charges your card next month without a fresh review.

Every repeat order at nume goes back to a prescriber before it ships. That is not standard across the market. If you reach the 2.4 mg maintenance dose and want to continue, a GPhC-registered prescriber re-evaluates your progress first. Current treatment pricing is listed on our weight-loss treatments page, we keep it transparent and in one place, rather than in the body of content like this.

You can read more about how the service is built on our about us page, including our GPhC-registered pharmacy (registration number 9012878, verifiable directly on the GPhC register). Our prescribers are named, qualified clinicians, you can see their profiles, including our clinical lead.

For a prescription medicine, price is the wrong question to lead with

Wegovy is a Black Triangle medicine under additional MHRA monitoring. It requires a cold-chain supply, an ongoing prescriber relationship, and a dispensing pharmacy accountable to the GPhC. The right question when choosing a provider is not "who charges the least?" but "who can I trust to supply a genuine product and respond if something goes wrong?"

The MHRA has issued repeated warnings about fake weight-loss pens sold online, including counterfeit tirzepatide pens traced to an unlicensed UK manufacturing site raided in late 2025, with around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines (approximately £45 million worth) seized across enforcement actions. Sellers offering these pens at prices well below the private market, or without requiring a clinical assessment, are a red flag, not a deal. The MHRA's Yellow Card scheme exists to report suspect products and sellers.

If you are ready to explore whether Wegovy is clinically appropriate for you, a good starting point is our Wegovy overview, which covers eligibility, how the medicine works, and what to expect. Or you can go straight to a free consultation with our prescribers, reviewed the same day your form arrives.
