Seven-day-a-week priority aftercare and clinical re-review before every repeat order

From 1 September 2025, Mounjaro prices in the UK rose sharply after Eli Lilly revised its list pricing across all doses. The highest-strength pen, previously listed at around £122, moved to approximately £330 — a change that rippled through private clinics and online pharmacies nationwide, with typical private costs now reported in the range of roughly £149–£375 per month depending on dose and provider. These are prescription-only medicines: a clinician must assess your suitability before any prescription can be issued, so the price you see always needs to reflect that clinical process. Understanding what actually shifted in September, and what any quoted price should include, helps you ask the right questions of any service you consider.

How the September price change affects what you pay, and what a legitimate price should cover

What Eli Lilly actually changed in September 2025

The price shift that took effect on 1 September 2025 was driven by Eli Lilly revising its UK list prices upward across the Mounjaro range. If you want a precise breakdown, our page covering the Mounjaro price on 1st September sets out exactly what the published list showed on that date. Lower doses rose by smaller margins, but the direction was the same throughout. Private providers pass those wholesale costs on, which is why you will have noticed the figures quoted across the market are now markedly higher than they were before that date.

NICE's appraisal of tirzepatide (published in December 2024 and updated in September 2025) set out the clinical circumstances in which this medicine is recommended, which is useful context for understanding the broader picture of what drove Mounjaro prices in September. Demand following that appraisal, and the Lilly pricing decision, combined to make the market look quite different from how it had looked earlier in 2024.

The widely reported range for private Mounjaro since September 2025 sits at roughly £149–£375 per month, and our page on Mounjaro prices in September explains how that spread breaks down across doses and providers. That spread is real, and the variation between providers at similar doses tends to reflect what is, and is not, included in the headline figure. A quoted price at the lower end of that range sometimes covers the medicine alone. At the upper end, it may include clinical oversight, prescription, and aftercare, or it may not. The gap matters.

What the headline price often leaves out

A common misconception is that the lowest price listed is the total cost. In practice, many providers charge separately for the consultation, the prescription, and delivery, none of which is trivial. A consultation fee at a private clinic might be £40–£100 before the medicine is even considered. Prescription charges, courier costs for temperature-controlled delivery, and fees for dose-review calls can all appear as line items alongside the per-pen price.

Tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Mounjaro) requires storage between 2°C and 8°C, so the logistics of getting it to you safely are not the same as posting a packet of tablets. Services that absorb those costs into one figure are making a genuine commitment; services that separate them are not automatically dishonest, but the final number is what matters. Our full breakdown of Mounjaro costs in the UK goes into this in more detail.

Clinical follow-up is another cost that some providers itemise and some swallow. Tirzepatide is titrated upward through a series of doses under prescriber supervision, the journey from 2.5mg to a higher maintenance dose involves several clinical touchpoints. If those are billed separately each time, the monthly cost can climb considerably above the sticker price you saw when you signed up. A fuller explanation of the tirzepatide treatment pathway is on our Mounjaro overview page.

Where nume sits on price, and why

We are not the least expensive option on the market, and we have made that decision deliberately. One transparent price covers the consultation with a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber, the prescription, the medicine, and free next-working-day tracked delivery with DPD. There are no subscription contracts and no auto-renewals. Every repeat order is clinically re-reviewed before it goes out, your prescriber checks in on how you are doing, not a system that just reissues a pack.

If you order before 12pm Monday to Friday and your case is approved that day, your treatment is dispatched the same day. The package arrives the next working day via DPD tracking, in plain packaging. Our clinical team, led by a GPhC-registered prescriber, is available for aftercare seven days a week. Current treatment pricing is shown on the treatment page, we do not list per-pen prices in body copy, and we do not run discount codes or promotional offers.

You can verify us on the GPhC register at any time: our pharmacy registration number is 9012878, checkable directly at the GPhC pharmacy register.

Why cheapest is the wrong question for a prescription medicine

Mounjaro is a Prescription-Only Medicine. The MHRA has issued repeated warnings about counterfeit weight-loss pens circulating online, including fake tirzepatide seized from an illicit UK manufacturing site in October 2025. These products look convincing and are genuinely dangerous. The right question is not which service is cheapest, but which service is verifiably legitimate, licensed supply chain, GPhC-registered pharmacy, a real prescriber making the clinical decision.

Unusually low prices for a medicine that Eli Lilly raised significantly in September 2025 are a flag, not a bargain, and our page on the Mounjaro price increase in September explains the scale of that rise and why it makes suspiciously low offers worth scrutinising. You can report suspect sellers to the MHRA via the Yellow Card scheme, which covers both side-effect reporting and unsafe supply. The NHS summarises the licensed clinical role of tirzepatide on its tirzepatide medicines page, reading the official patient information is a reasonable first step before considering any provider. More detail on what to check before buying is covered on our discounted Mounjaro page, including what these red flags look like in practice.

If you are still working out what to budget before committing to treatment, our guide to how much Mounjaro will cost from September brings together the key figures in one place.
