Separately, Rybelsus is an oral semaglutide tablet, but it is licensed for type 2 diabetes, not weight loss. Manufacturers do research oral peptide formulations, but nothing is approved here.

A third source of confusion: some sellers online describe tirzepatide powders or compounded oral preparations. These have no MHRA authorisation and no safety data from controlled trials. They are not legitimate UK medicines.

Mounjaro as it actually comes: the KwikPen, the doses, the schedule

Mounjaro is supplied as a pre-filled KwikPen, each containing four weekly doses. UK strengths run from 2.5 mg up through 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 mg. Tirzepatide is not suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding or when trying to conceive, and it is not licensed for under-18s.
