When someone searches for Wegovy dose prices, they're usually not comparison-shopping pens the way they'd compare supermarket olive oil. They're trying to answer a harder question: is this affordable over the months it takes to work, and am I looking at the real number or a teaser?

That's a fair concern. A quick habit that takes under a minute: before reading any pharmacy's pricing, scroll to their checkout or FAQ page and look for the words "consultation fee" and "delivery", if neither is mentioned alongside the headline price, they're almost certainly separate line items.

None of this means those services are doing anything wrong. But understanding the full cost of Wegovy requires adding those components up, not just comparing the figure in the headline. Why 'cheapest' is the wrong test for a prescription medicine

The MHRA has issued repeated warnings about fake weight-loss pens sold online and through social media. In one enforcement operation in 2025, around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines with an estimated street value of roughly £45 million were seized. A counterfeit tirzepatide manufacturing site was raided in Northampton the same year. These weren't obvious fakes; some contained insulin instead of semaglutide.
