Why "cheapest" is the wrong test for a prescription medicine

The MHRA has warned publicly about counterfeit weight-loss pens being sold online and via social media. Fake pens have contained insulin rather than semaglutide, and enforcement in 2025 resulted in the seizure of around 20 million doses of illegally traded weight-loss medicines worth approximately £45 million.
