Injection sites, reach and why dimensions affect your technique

Knowing the pen's size is directly useful for technique. The three licensed injection sites are the abdomen (avoiding the navel area), the outer thigh, and the upper arm. On the upper arm in particular, some people find it easier to ask a partner to administer the injection, not because the pen is difficult to use, but because reaching the back of the arm comfortably requires a longer range of motion than some people have.

You'll want to clean the skin first; alcohol swabs are straightforward to keep alongside your pens. Rotate sites from week to week to reduce the chance of skin reactions at any single spot, inject into a slightly different area each time, even within the same broad site. Practical storage and travel with a pen this size

The Wegovy pen is refrigerated between 2 °C and 8 °C. In that size, it sits easily in a standard fridge door without taking up meaningful space. A pen in active use travels well in an insulated pouch designed for insulin pens, the dimensions are similar enough that the same cases work.
