The practical difference between injectable Wegovy and the new Wegovy tablet

Until 2026, Wegovy meant a once-weekly subcutaneous injection, administered to the abdomen, thigh or upper arm using a pre-filled pen. The standard titration runs from 0.25 mg up to 2.4 mg over roughly five months, with the 7.2 mg pen now available as the next step for eligible patients. The pen stays in the fridge between doses.

The tablet changes the routine entirely. Verifying the brand name matters when you're buying online

Knowing that semaglutide is the active ingredient in Wegovy is useful for more than general knowledge, it is a practical safety check.
