Start journey Learn moreIn the UK, private weight loss injections typically cost between roughly £149 and £375 per month depending on which medicine you're prescribed and which dose you're on. That range reflects where most providers sit after Eli Lilly raised Mounjaro's list price in September 2025. These are prescription-only medicines — a prescriber has to assess your health before any treatment begins, and that clinical assessment should always be part of what you're paying for. The monthly figure you see quoted can mean very different things depending on what the provider bundles in, so it's worth understanding what's actually included before you compare.

Picture this: you've spent twenty minutes comparing prices, found a figure that looks reasonable, clicked through to the checkout, and then noticed a £30 consultation fee, a separate prescription charge, and a delivery cost that wasn't mentioned on the search results page. It happens constantly in this market.
Headline monthly prices for weight loss injections are often the medicine alone. Providers charge separately for the initial consultation, for the prescription itself, for dose-review appointments when you move up the titration schedule, and for delivery. Some charge an ongoing membership fee on top. If you want a clear picture of what weight loss injections cost per month once all those extras are included, it's worth working through the full breakdown before committing. Add those up across a year and the cheapest-looking starting price can become one of the more expensive options.
The two medicines licensed in the UK for weight management are tirzepatide (Mounjaro) and semaglutide (Wegovy). Both come as once-weekly injections and both are available only on prescription following clinical assessment. Mounjaro starts at 2.5mg (a dose designed to let your system adjust) and is titrated upward by your prescriber over several months. Because higher doses cost more per pen, the monthly spend tends to rise as your treatment progresses. Our detailed monthly cost breakdown walks through how that progression affects typical spend. The NICE appraisal of tirzepatide (NICE TA1026) confirmed its clinical effectiveness; that effectiveness comes at a real cost, and anyone quoting you a very low flat rate for higher doses is worth scrutinising.
Storage is part of the routine too. Both pens live in the fridge (most people slot them into the door) and come out only when it's time to inject. That rhythm, once a week, is straightforward. But a supply chain you can trust matters: fake pens have reached UK buyers, some containing entirely different substances.
In September 2025, Eli Lilly increased the UK list price of Mounjaro substantially. Reporting at the time indicated the highest-dose pen moved from roughly £122 to roughly £330 at list price. Private providers set their own prices above that, so what you pay privately will vary. Broadly, reported private market prices have ranged from around £149 to £375 per month by dose and provider since the change.
This is relevant because some comparison sites and social-media posts still carry pre-September 2025 figures. A price that looks attractively low relative to the current market may reflect outdated information, or a supplier whose sourcing you should question. The MHRA has confirmed that counterfeit tirzepatide pens have already been seized in the UK, following a raid on an illicit manufacturing site in October 2025. The MHRA's Yellow Card service is where you can report a suspect seller if you come across one.
For Wegovy, the pricing picture is different again, partly because Novo Nordisk's supply situation has historically affected availability. The newer 7.2mg Wegovy pen, approved by the MHRA in April 2026, may carry a different price point as it becomes more widely available. If you're asking how much weight loss injections are across both medicines, our broader guide covers how they compare on price across the market.
A legitimate private weight loss injection service for a prescription-only medicine should include, at minimum: clinical assessment by a qualified prescriber, a valid prescription, the medicine from a licensed UK supply chain, and some form of ongoing clinical support. Delivery is usually charged separately across the industry, though not everywhere.
At nume, one price covers all of it, consultation, prescription, treatment, free next-working-day delivery, and 7-day aftercare. We don't run discount codes, introductory offers, or subscription auto-renewals. Every repeat order is clinically re-reviewed before it goes out. Cheapest isn't a competition we entered; the point is knowing exactly what you're getting. Current treatment pricing is on our weight loss treatments page, where you can also start your free consultation.
Our pharmacy is GPhC-registered (premises number 9012878, verifiable on the GPhC register). Every consultation is reviewed personally by a named prescriber. That's the baseline for safe, legal access to these medicines, not a premium extra.
A small saving on a monthly figure doesn't offset the risk of receiving a product from an unverified source. Weight loss injections are not interchangeable with supplements or over-the-counter products. They require a prescriber to assess your full health picture, your BMI, your medical history, any medicines you're already taking. An NHS overview of weight management injections sets out clearly why clinical supervision throughout treatment matters, not just at the start.
The right question isn't "who is cheapest?", it's "who is doing this properly?" That means a real prescriber, a GPhC-registered pharmacy, and medicine sourced through the licensed UK supply chain. Once those boxes are ticked, you can compare what else is included for the price. Our guide to cost-effectiveness looks at how to weigh monthly spend against clinical outcomes rather than sticker price alone. If you want to understand how much weight loss injections are likely to cost you in total, including what varies by dose and provider, that page sets out the full picture before you decide. Our page on how much weight loss injections cost per month breaks down what a full course of treatment typically adds up to across different doses and providers.
